This place was really good!! It is a hookah lounge with amazing food!! They serve food till late too! Our waitress was phenomenal at giving us suggestions, since we had never been before and didn't really know what to get. The portion size was more than enough!! We got the Vegetarian Platter because we wanted to try a mixture of almost all the appetizers and the Ranoush Mixed Grill because we wanted to try a mixture of some warm things. Both were DELICIOUS!! Surprisingly though, if we had to pick a favorite, it was the Vegetarian Platter. We loved everything on that atter...couldn't get enough of it!! And it was all good mixed together, like sampling different tastes mixed together. The Ranoush Mixed Grill was really good too, but the lamb was by far our favorite thing on there...next time, we would just order that by itself, because the flavor and texture was on point!!! The Shish Tawuk and beef kafta were really good too, but we just really enjoyed the lamb better. (That's just our personal preference). But everything was really good and very flavorful! The sauce they give you to dip the food in is very good too! We will definitely be going back!!

Ordered delivery from Ranoush last night for the first time in a while. Between the Batata Harra, Chicken Shawarma, and 0.99 delivery fee with Uber eats, the order ended up costing $40 (with tip). I was really happy when my order showed up much quicker than estimated, but that happiness quickly faded. The first thing I noticed was that the Batata Harra had absolutely no seasoning on it. Not even just light seasoning, zilch, zero, nothing. I’d received a box of plain over boiled potatoes. At $8 a pop, I could have gone and made myself an entire catering size portion for the same price and it would have been significantly better than whatever I was served. The second thing I noticed was that the chicken in the shawarma had no seasoning either! Just bland chopped chicken! Ranoush used to be my favorite spot for Chicken Shawarmas in the Lou, but it looks like it’s time to find a new spot. So disappointed.

This is one of the best places to dine in St. Louis. From the moment you walk in to this intimate restaurant, you feel as if you have crossed the Atlantic. The lighting is dark, yet vibrant. The music sets the tone for your Arabic event. The seats are comfortable, no matter where you sit. The tent in the back of the restaurant is a unique way to enjoy hookah if that is your cup of tea. The food is always exceptional, no matter what you choose, and is reasonably priced. The warak enab is the best I've ever tasted. The falafel wrap is the most under rated dish on the menu. The hummus is creamy and smooth. I have yet to find a dish I didn't enjoy. The Arabic coffee is fantastic. It is hot, strong, and slightly sweet, so it requires no cream or sugar. The belly dancer on the weekend add adult fun to your meal. Overall Ranoush is not just a restaurant, it is an experience.

Many of you travelers may ask... What does “Ranoush” mean? It's actually an Arabic lady's nickname. Head Chef and Ranoush Owner named the business after his wife.

So, you may find yourself wondering this; Is there a place I can eat dinner and relax while smoking hookah? The answer is yes! Here at Ranoush, this restaurant-hookah lounge hybrid provides top quality, service, cleanliness, and value during your whole experience within the establishment.

The quality of the dishes served is outstanding! Each dish is carefully prepared to ensure each bite is as delectable as the next. Not to mention our experience with smoking the hookah, never once was there a moment when the hookah went harsh. Always a smooth, flavorful hit while inhaling & exhaling.

Service means everything to a person like me, who's worked in the Foodservice Management industry for a total of 6 years. I am very excited to say that the service at this particular establishment is absolutely amazing. Each time our party was in need of something, our server was always nearby to maintain continuity of service. Kudos to the management team for training the staff to be competent and attentive.

Due to the most recent pandemic (COVID-19), I am now more alert to my surroundings and always attempt to maintain a distance of six feet from others. With being more alert also means my eyes are more alert to what's happening around me. From start to finish, I saw nothing but staff constantly ensuring tables & seating were being sanitized after each party, the dishes were impeccably clean, and the staff wore the appropriate protective gear at all times during the experience. This was really reassuring that the business is doing everything possible to be in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines.

Lastly, the value of everything at this establishment is truly uncanny. Receiving a five-star experience, within an exquisite (split) lounge/dining style setup is literally everything. But what's even more amazing is the price you pay for all of it. Reasonable is the word I would use. I guess this is one business that understands that people genuinely want to go out and have a good time without breaking the bank. Kudos to the owner for putting great business tactics into effect.

Overall, I would highly recommend Ranoush to family and friends, and to all of you travelers out there wondering where your next great experience may be. If you're a fan of calm, relaxing environments, then this is the...

I came here about 8 yrs ago and I enjoyed my food and atmosphere, they had belly dancers and played Mediterranean music. I was there in Sept 2023 for my birthday and the experience was sadly and disappointly not the same. I had a beef dish and I had to send it back and get a refund because the beef was tough and dry. My friend ordered a curry chicken on a stick dish that she enjoyed and we also had hummus with pita and falafels with were very delicious! Inside on a big screen they had music videos playing that was also the same music that was playing outside. We were sitting out side next to the window so I could see the screen. The music and videos were very inappropriate, very inappropriate. It's the kind that should be in a club a strip club that's how bad it was. The staff were acting like they was at home hosting a party. They were greeting people they new and was smoking out they hookas, chilling with them, staff members were chasing each other around the tables outside and into the street. The language was not appropriate for a work place and in front of guest,my table and another across from us were having trouble flagging down our server. Other tables, really in straight across from us, was acting like we was at a club by singing/ rapping songs out loudly, just rude and inconsiderate of other guest, trying to smoke weed, yes it's legal but not there, the security guard had to stop them from smoking. The staff was also singing the songs loudly, and these were very inappropriate songs. We both left out hoodies there and I called the next day as soon as they opened and they said they had nothing....did you clear the table? Then you should have saw our hoodies,or did someone take them home or did they just leave them there so someone could steal them....Before we left I asked our server did they play this kind of music all the time and she said always after 8:30 and like r& b during the weekday. What happened to the Mediterranean music???? They say it's kid friendly but hell no not with that music and videos to go with it! I will never return! And why do they...

I have never been to Ranoush in person. I have ordered always through postmates. I live down the block. I am a trash person. I eat two things, their Shish Tawuk and their Arabic Fries. The Shish Tawuk is delicious but also healthy I think? It makes me feel like I'm actually taking care of my body for once? Tonight, I came home with an empty stomach and an empty fridge. That bank account empty too though. I convinced myself that I could order from Ranoush, overdraft and get charged $20, if I ordered two meals, because it would be worth it. This is economical really. Doesn't matter if I'm poor, I need food right? LOL And two Shish Tawuks can last me 4 days if I spread it out ... or at least 2 days if I just HAVE to eat the full meal. Yeah ... so it got here around 4pm, and it is now 9:30pm. I have no more Ranoush left. The two Shish Tawuks and one Arabic fries are gone. I have no self control. It just tastes good? Also, once the postmates app messed up my order... the Restaurant was nice and threw in a dessert for my troubles .. it was the Baklava. I hate nuts. It was so good I picked what I could off and delt with it. I don't know how they got me this good...
