I could easily confuse this place with the Goodwill store. I grew up in STL and this place is not what it used to be, the merchandise has gone WAY down hill, and Iâve been in here several times the past few months.
Its heydays were when they first purchased the business from Rag-O-Rama; now itâs junk. This used to be a great place to find interesting pieces that are mid to high quality, I used to go here all the time before a vacation or party, now everything in there is low quality, rags, things I wouldnât be keeping in my own closet or pay $1 for.
On my way out tonight (Wed. 8/14), I very politely shared my feedback with the cashier. Instead of having good customer service skills, she took it personally, completely dismissed my feedback with a tone of voice and said, âwell, you are entitled to your own opinion, but someone is buying it, weâre doing well.â Someone who has public interpersonal skills would have said, âthanks for your feedback, I will share it with the manager and I hope we get better merchandise soon.â She went on to defend it instead of hearing what I had to say, saying they buy things only âin fashionâ â yeah, you mean lowest of the lower tier and terrible quality âin fashionâ?
I even saw several merchandise with deodorant marks all over them! Why would you put clothes from the dressing rooms back on the floor with dirt and marks on them? And WHO is deciding what merchandise to buy from sellers?? You should seriously reassess all of them.
The customer service skills here is also looking like its merchandise. Probably because this place is cheap and refuses to pay decently to any seller that has anything halfway decent, so sellers with decent merchandise end up going somewhere else like Platoes. PLEASE MAGA! (Make Avalon...
Read moreIgnorant, blind, and a tad rude! Before I get into detail about my experience I want to express that Iâm not trying to bash every employee at this location. I know not everyone there is disrespectful to their customers but this is what I experience. Awhile back I came to your store hoping to sell some designer goods from my collection. One of the male cashiers who greeted me had a blank expression on his face and spoke with no emotion in his voice. When I showed him the designer items I was selling him and two other people just to tell theyâre not interested. When I asked them whatâs wrong with my stuff they were quick to point out every stain and chip. I understand in their seller contract theyâre not obliged to buy everything that is offered. But itâs not every day you get not one not two but three well known designer accessories coming in your shop with original packaging and proof of purchase, Iâm pretty sure yâall could have made some kind of deal before trying to brush me off. To make matters worse while I was browsing at their merchandise I noticed a pair of unauthentic designer loafers and Jordans on the floor. After that whole experience I felt disgusted yâall felt the need to call for backup just to bad and the lacked of...
Read moreIâve never left a review like this, but if I could give them no stars, I would. They donât even deserve one star. We came here to look for some quick cash for our name-brand items. For starters, they mixed everything that they wanted to buy in a huge bin with other items they had already bought when I refused to let them buy a $50 skirt unworn for three dollars. This goes for a few of my nice items. They had a very poor attitude toward me. I was clearly annoyed when they were the ones that threw my clothes in a big pile of everyone elseâs clothes. I highly recommend not going here. They didnât even attempt to put my clothes back nicely in my baskets, as I had them folded and organized. In the end, they donât honor brands, have very poor style, and have poor customer service. This is the last place in St. Louis where I would recommend you go for clothing exchanges for cash. To filter out all the reviews, I was looking through them, and the majority of the decent views or good views were clearly bots or people that they had paid to make the comments; none of them were genuine reviews; however, the real reviews...
