After a chronic plantar fasciitis injury lasting over six months, Dr Ed Le Cara took on my case. We talked over different treatments and decided on a new technique. Initially, Dr Le Cara injected my heel with a botulism treatment from Galderma called Dysport. The Dysport injection was coupled with dry needling and massage.

I walked into see Dr Le Cara for the first time, almost hobbling in pain and perpetual discomfort. Not only did the pain hurt all day, every day; the pain affected my attitude and made me not any fun to be around. This single treatment allowed me to walk out of The Body Lounge with next to zero pain in one treatment.

I have been visiting Dr Le Cara once a week for five weeks since the initial injection treatment where he continues the dry needling and massage. The chronic pain in my plantar area of my left foot has been eradicated. We are continuing to work on stretching the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles, strengthening the muscles in the plantar area as well as decreasing the painful adhesions in my calf.

Dr Le Cara's expertise in treatment as well as finding the root causes of my affliction and pain have allowed me to look forward to resuming my normal endurance training in the near future. This place is an ABSOLUTE GEM! I’ve been seeing a chiropractor for 5+ years and swear by it. Moved to DFW a year ago and was so hesitant to find a new chiropractor because they can be hit or miss, but I was referred to Body Lounge and couldn’t be happier. Head doc is an amazing chiropractor and so much more... acupuncture with e-stem, soft tissue work, cupping and the list goes on. The best part is, he isn’t just there to make you pop and leave, he actively tries to find the problem and give you solutions to fix it (stretching, foam rolling, different techniques) for immediate and long term relief.

If all of that wasn’t enough... they have a whole other side of the business that focuses on health and aesthetics. IV Therapies, aesthetics treatments like laser hair removal, body contouring, Botox, micro needling, infrared saunas, red light therapy, sleep pods...AND SO MUCH MORE. Personally, I’m not at a point where I need any of this, but knowing that I have a trusted paced to go to when it comes time (let’s face it, everyone needs a little lift here and there eventually), I’ll be getting it all done at Body Lounge.

Dr. Ed Le Cara is amazing!

I developed Patellar Tendinitis in my left leg. I initially went to a non-specialized Orthopedic doctor as preferred by my health care provider. During my visit with the Orthopedic doctor, he advised me to just rest for three weeks and not do anything to cause strain on my tendon. This was told to me after meeting with me for less than 5 minutes. This is not a viable option for me as it interferes with my fitness training. After mentioning this to the doctor, he snidely stated to work on “upper body stuff.”

After being disappointed by these results and feeling taken advantage of (due to unnecessary x-rays and being told to purchase a knee brace from them - then shuffled out) I reached out to my trainer and he referred me to Dr Ed.

Dr Ed spent an hour with me, helping me relieve the tension causing strain on my Patellar tendon via dry needling and other methods. He took his time going over the causes and remedies for Patellar Tendinitis and helped me understand how to prevent this from happening in the future.
