Been to this shop twice in the last two years. I said after my first time that I wouldnât go back there because the prices are high, and the older man (assuming the owner) just sat in the back of the store watching a game the whole time while (assuming) his wife helped me while he just sat back and made short remarks the whole time. Went back today to give it one more shot, and definitely wonât be back again.
he was rude and short with his worker, and a younger customer while I was in there.
he stared at me, and acted like I was stupid for asking if they had any cards of a certain player, then the only response that he gave me was that he does have one card of that player, but it wasnât in a showcase, and if I wanted it it would be $500 (about $200+ higher than market value)
there was an open box of cards that they were selling single packs of, and if I bought all of the packs left at their asking price it wouldâve cost more than buying a new box, so of course I try to negotiate with them to make it make sense, and before I could even get 2 words out of my mouth the old man cut me off and told me that they canât negotiate on any prices. If I wanted them I had to pay their price. Sadly, Still bought two boxes and helped pay their rent for the month because I wasnât going to drive 45 minuets to the next closest shop, but now I remember why I said I wouldnât go back there, and next time I will gladly drive 45+ minuets out of my way to go to a shop that makes sense, and cares about their customers. -5 stars....
Weird place. Went yesterday and tried to make a deal for a $5 card that they were asking $12 on. I got that card down to $8 value because the man working there said Cowboys cards have a âlocal valueâ when you could get the card for $5 and $1 shipping on eBay. Took my cards that were worth around $17 combined and the man working there said that they were worth $15 but he would only offer me $10 to help pay rent. Got a deal to work only because I was already there that wasnât very fair. Cool place and helpful workers but donât go in if you are expecting to get your moneyâs worth on trades. Try Nickâs instead if you are looking for a fair deal.
Updated as of a week ago Review stays the same. New staff is friendlier and will try to work with you but not on boxes. If youâre looking to sell or trade, beware because what they look at as fair pricing for their boxes are online dealers such as DAcardworld and not actual sales where a price is being payed while they check for the lowest comps of real sales for whatever you bring in. They also only take 70-80% of comps for trade in and 60% of comps for cash. When I tried to show the man proof, he instantly stopped me and told me he wasnât interested in the card anymore. Try your luck but it wonât work. Got a fair to work in the end that did not...
Read moreI came in and the owner ignored me for the first five minutes. I proceeded to check out the shop (which I liked) and the owner finally spoke to me after a certain family left. I asked him if he bought graded cards also or just sold and told me he did if the value was above $100. I showed him a high end graded card and had no knowledge about it. He then said he was going to look online and didn't know how to properly look up the correct card. Claiming my graded card was only worth $50. The card is a PSA 9 Mewtxo GX 78/73 worth over more than $100+. He then rushed me out and didn't give me a chance to say anything. WORST SHOP IN DALLAS, TX. Rude, unknowledgeable, unhelpful and don't get me started...
