My husband and I purchased a mattress from this store and we did not have a good experience. The mattress was sunk in and gave my husband a backache within 5 days of sleeping on it. We tried to return it to Ashley but they insist that they will not take it back unless we pay a re-stocking fee and a disposal fee. We have never heard of a store that charges both fees in order to take a product back. I asked the customer service manager, Lauren, how it was that they would charge both fees and she said that's what's required. I asked her if they would be disposing of the mattress or re-stocking it. She could not give a clear answer but insisted that was the policy. It is outrageous that a company would charge both fees! Not to mention the fact that the mattress sunk in within five days of sleeping on it. I should mention that they had their 'mattress doctor' come out to our house to check the mattress. This 'doctor' wrote up a false report saying that our box spring was the problem because he could see an indentation in the box spring. Both my husband and I were standing right next to him and did not see any indentation. We pointed this out to him but he did not care. He kept saying there was an indentation and that the reason for the defect was not the mattress but the box spring. Our box spring was fine. We have used it before with our old mattress and there was no sink. Our old mattress got soiled and we wanted to change to a new one. We did not expect to be treated this way especially at this time when there's CovID 19 and financial difficulty.    Read moreSo I was ordering the 12 Chime mattress offline but the deliveryâ was a few days away (4 day delivery window ) so I decided to call store I called store they said they honor online price and the delivery would be next day just come in. I come in and of course when I ask for the next day delivery the store manager tells me thatâs not how it works I explained to him that I would told that by an employee over the phone he says Iâm going to have to talk with that employee I think I know exactly who it was because he shouldnât have told you that I said well Iâm sure he was just trying to get me in the store he said no we donât play games I said ok I proceed to tell him well online they gave me a 5% discount (14.50 off) as well since you guys canât deliver it sooner then online can you still honor the coupon he says no. He wouldnât be able too so I proceed to wait for total the total without discount online is $311.01 and his store price was $313 now thatâs only two dollars more expensive but (at this point itâs about principle and customer service you guys wasted my time after lying to me on the phone ) your delivery window is the same as online, and you canât honor the 5% online discount and your price is $2 higher then online. Not to mention Iâm not sure if there would have been an additional delivery fee which online there isnât. I left with out item and ordered online instead.    Read moreI needed to replace my living furniture so, I started looking around for a good replacement furniture and ended up going to this Ashley furniture outlet. I met James who showed me the inventory. Although his interaction was not too pleasant, I ended up settling for a particular leather color set without the recliner.
There was a promo going on which required your email to be on file. Although I was informed of the promo, James refused to ask for my email so the 100 gift card could be sent to me as stated on the promo. I returned to the store several days later to purchase the recliner and Mr James was the sales associate that wrote up my receipt. He however refused to inform me that the recliner I was paying for was not in stock nor did he provide the necessary services that one should expect of a Sales associate during such transactions.
I had to call the store several times to update my email and to find out why my furniture has not arrived. I was informed that James, the sales associate would call to update me the next day, no call ever came from him or the store. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the service so far. The funny aspect of this is the fact that I called to claim gift card as stated on their promo and the third party company had no idea of what I was talking about.
I wonder why a company like Ashley would result to a scam tactics to gain...
