My husband and I went to Lazy Boy on 1/13/2024 to purchase a chair. After trying many chairs we made our decision for the Rowan Recliner. We were helped by a sales manager named Chris. We proceeded to order the chair and at that time he asked if I wanted it to be a rocker or a lift chair. I explained to Chris that my mother was a very petite 98 year old woman that canāt sit in anything that moves. My mom has been sleeping in a recliner chair for about 20 years and the one she was sleeping in broke. So when I placed the order, time was of the essence and I explained this to Chris. Chris told me the chair would be ready in 2-3 weeks. He also told me I would receive and email when it was time to deliver. After waiting a couple weeks, I called and spoke to Chris who then informed me the chair was running late. I then explained that I needed the chair ASAP because my mother was sleeping in a broken chair that she needed assistance getting in and out of it. Chris then told me he had the same chair in a different fabric and I was thrilled that my mother would finally have a working chair. They delivered the chair on 1/30/2024. I sat on the chair and it was hard a rock. I then called the store and explained to Chris that the seat was very hard and it didnāt feel like the one in the store. He then confirmed that the seat cushion was different. I knew my mother would not be comfortable on the hard cushion so I refused the chair and they took it back. Chris then told me that the original chair was ready. The original chair we ordered was delivered on 2/3/2024. We then discovered the chair was a rocker. My mother canāt use the chair because as soon as she sits in it the chair moves forward. She canāt get herself in and out of the chair because of the way it tilts forward. Itās a safety issue for her. She is currently sleeping on the sofa with an ottoman. Once again, Chris had to place another order for a chair. I waited a couple more weeks and contacted Chris for an update. He then tells me that the chair will be ready on March 25, 2024. I then became upset because this process began in mid-January and I still donāt have a chair. I then told Chris I wanted a rush put on it and he said he would see what he could do. This conversation was on 2/19/2024. He said he would call me by Wednesday to let me know when it would be ready. Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed with this location of Lazy Boy. The staff lie and promise things they canāt deliver. I was told certain items would come with my furniture purchase. Anything to get the sale! Come to find out those items were not there when delivered. I called right away, they told me no problem and they would put the items aside for me to come pick up. I drove to the store only to find out they were not going to live up to their word. The man working refused to call my sales person and just kept telling me these were different items. They did not try at all to make things right and deliver on their promise. He said even if my sales person told me they came with it, they must have made a mistake and he will not be giving the items to me with my purchase. I was told they cannot give things away for free. FREE?! Ha. From what I was told I paid for them so they wouldnāt be free. When an employee makes a mistake, if that was even the case, most decent companies would back their staff and do their best to make things right. Apparently this store does not care about their word. They didn't have an answer as to the problem with the chair I called the La-Z-Boy store I was told that they would have an answer for me Monday ( I called on a Thursday morning) Monday I was told there was a rip in the fabric.
