I’ve suffered from the food from this store for the second time now. The first time, I got food poisoning after eating the “Sushi Salad.” How spoiled does food have to be for someone to get poisoned? Thank God I haven’t seen it on the store shelves anymore—apparently, many others suffered from it too.
Alright, I thought maybe it had just been sitting too long and gone bad, but isn’t it the store employees’ job to check the freshness of the food? This is dangerous!
The second time happened last week. This time, it was the “Seafood Salad.” Again, I got severe food poisoning. There was no bad smell, which means the seafood was either of poor quality or improperly cooked.
Of course, I will never buy ready-to-eat food from this store again in my life.
Dear store, stop poisoning people with your awful food!
Reply: I have never had any allergies to seafood, and I eat it quite often. You should be checking its freshness instead. I highly doubt that you inspect it every two hours.
Just because no complaints have been filed doesn’t mean there haven’t been any. People might simply not want to waste their time leaving a review. Instead of blaming the customer for something, you should focus on the quality of your products.
You won’t find me in your system because I never...
Read moreI used to really appreciate Hampton for their ready-made food — great variety, convenience, and taste. It was always one of the store’s strongest points, and many customers, including myself, came back for it regularly. But unfortunately, since spring, the quality of the prepared food has noticeably declined.
Twice now, I’ve come across spoiled soups — with foam, a sour smell, and clear signs of spoilage. This isn’t just disappointing — it’s a health hazard. When I bring it to the attention of staff, they silently take the item away without any apology or explanation. It’s as if this is normal practice.
I’ve also noticed that they frequently spray the prepared food with PAM oil spray — presumably to prevent it from drying out and to make it look more appealing. But it raises concerns: how often is this done? how many times a day? is it fresh food or food that’s being “revived”? Shoppers are not informed about this.
Overall, the quality and taste of the prepared dishes have declined. Some items that used to be fresh and delicious now seem stale or poorly handled.
It’s really disappointing to see the standards drop at a store I used to trust. I hope management takes this seriously. The prepared food section is your signature and a key part of your business — people come...
