This place is horrible and the man at the counter was extremely rude. He could not give me an exact price and was so bothered I even asked in the first place. I ordered a pork bahn mi over the phone. I paid $15 two months ago, which is already pricey to me but I wanted to treat myself and I was craving one bad. I got there and I asked for the exact price after he vaguely said "$17 something" and rolled his eyes, sighed and stated "he'd have to exit out this screen" to give me the exact total. I said ok I can wait, and he walked away to take care of someone else. He came back and said "so do you want it or not." I laughed and calmly said he cant expect me to pay whatever he wants and charge me an amount I don't know about. He raised his voice and saying it isn't on the menu and he has to now exit his screen and cancel it to know the price and if i wanted it or not. I told him I didn't appreciate him raising his voice -- he cut me off and said "$17.69 including the tax." I was ready to pay it despite the sandwich being almost 20 dollars since I was on my lunch break and over it already. I saw the machine, and it said $18.01!!! I know its only a couple cents, but I asked multiple times for a price and it still wasn't accurate. I confronted him and said his machine says $18.01, and he yelled at me again saying it was 17.69. When he looked at the $18.01 on the screen, he just held up the machine again and said "ok its 18.01 now. do you want it or not". I walked right out. You should be able to provide a customer with an exact price without them having to beg, and without someone raising their voice and complaining about exiting a screen. Almost $20 for a sandwich? I will stick with Pho Ben City even if its a little farther -- they are super respectful, quick to serve you and HAVE BAHN...
Read moreNormally this place would get 4 stars but Saturday my partner and I came here with my daughter for her first taste of pho and the waitress was horrible! First she greeted us with the most dreadful greeting evvvver. Mono tone... no smile damn near zombie like. She seated us and we asked for drinks. Still no smile. Now this was throwing us off as we are fairly friendly with strangers. Anyways...one of the requested drinks was a Thai Ice Tea (which we ordered before) her response was "We dont have that" she must have seen the confused look so she brought over the bubble tea menu to point out "we have a Thai MILK tea"... really . We all got our drinks and the honeydew smoothie was disgusting. I asked to switch the beverage out and she offered me water. Really water? I had a smoothie n ur gonna offer water? Great customer service. Nah ill that that soft drink. Thanks. After a lengthy wait (without reassurance out food will be out soon) 2 of 3 dishes came out (didnt acknowledge the 3rd meal wasnt there we had to ask when to expect it) both Pho dishes... (complements to the chef it was delicious!)..she sits the first bowl in front of me. Second bowl she picks up off the tray throws the tray off balence and all the veggies fall off the tray on to the floor. Thank god for the veggies if it was soup i would have been in the hospital. Balence of the tray is so important when u are waitressing... it can cause serious injuries! Lastly, we get the check and that smoothie i didnt drink was still on my bill... i tell her and she snatches the check right out my hand. I swear if the food wasnt so good i would never go back i see her i will request she...
Read moreThe restaurant is unorganized and some of their staff are rude. When my friends and i first came in the restaurant , we stood at the door for 5 mins waiting to be seated but no one bothered to. Afterwards, when We ordered bubble teas, they came after 30 mins and our orders were messed up while the table next to us received theirs in 5 mins. Not only did they made us wait for 30 mins for bubble tea they couldn't fix our wrong orders because they 'ran out of tapioca balls'. We ordered 4 pho and they came an hour after we ordered. At the end, we were very unhappy about the experience we had in house of pho. When we are about to pay, one of the older staff said that we 'have to' pay 15 percent of tips when we were very unsatisfied with our whole experience.
The food quality was decent, the soup is okay and they noodles have a rather hard texture but they do not have bun bo hue, which was very disappointing. I would recommend their bubble tea As they were very delicious but they often get orders wrong. We ordered 2 medium sized match green bubble milk tea and , one black bubble tea and an avocado smoothie. (Tapioca balls have separate charges$0.6)
The only good thing is that our server is really nice and tried to apologize for wrong orders and tried to hurry the kitchen for our food, but the kitchen itself is very...
