Iâve lived in Huntingdon Valley for my entire life. Robin Hood has always been my favorite diner to go to since they have the best Workmanâs Special. On 03/22 at 2:00PM, my boyfriend and I went to go get seated when we were greeted with utmost disrespect. Literally the woman working in the front wearing a pink cardigan and glasses asked âtwo?â with so much attitude. We brushed it off and went to our table where our waitress was perfectly fine. She was very sweet and made sure our food tasted okay. We proceeded to finish our food and went to the register to go pay when we were again met with the same obnoxious lady wearing the pink cardigan and glasses who challenged our initial tip of 3.50 on a 29 dollar check since we were only there for about 20 minutes and she was rude to us in the beginning. My boyfriend being sweet said to round the check to 35 dollars (20% tip) instead since he saw how mad the cardigan woman got. Mistake #1. She then had to do the math on her paying machine and she got annoyed cause she couldnât figure out the difference????? Why is she even working register if she canât do basic math? We had to help her with the math since she asked if we had a calculator too. Excuse me? Such rude behavior. She should be reevaluated and taught manners before serving customers who have been loyal to Robin Hood since day 1. We even told her to have a nice day and said thank you to which she didnât even reply to. I REPEAT TIP IS A PRIVILEGE TO RECEIVE AND EVALUATED BASED ON SERVICE. DONT EXPECT CUSTOMERS TO AUTOMATICALLY GIVE YOU A TIP IF YOU OFFER THEM HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! This woman is lucky my boyfriend is sweet because I wouldâve said to get rid of tip altogether on the check. I shouldâve gotten her name too so I could name drop who this menace to society is that ruined my entire day. Hopefully she has a better life ahead of her and stops making other people miserable due to her lack of happiness in life....
Read moreIts not often you can find an enjoyable atmosphere and are welcomed to relax and enjoy a meal with excellent service. The food is always top notch and quite affordable, Not to mention the Staff is always professional and accommodating. The Owners are always interacting with customers and their employees not like other local restaurants where your just another table and waiting or asking for continued service. They always have specials along with the regular menu which are the best. They constantly are checking in with me and my family (as well as other Customers while they are walking the floor) and they even ask how we are doing and a personal conversation or two. Truly amazing that I not only recommend this Restaurant but have been going there for over 20 Years now. A Relaxing and enjoyable meal like your eating with friends at a public outing. My cup is never empty and they collect your dishes quite quickly so you able to relax at a clean table when your done eating. You never feel rushed and from the time your seated with a very personalized Host or Hostess, to the Most polite Waiters or Waitresses, Right down to the Bus Persons, Just an enjoyable Atmosphere and Attitude from all of the positions and really caring about the their customers. It goes even as far as the Warm Greeting from the Cashier right down to the staff wishing you an enjoyable day as you depart. We have even tried the take out and catering services from this establishment and still the same impeccable service. From Good Food, Professional and Courteous Service, Friendly Staff, Great Owners, and affordable pricing I would recommend this local Restaurant and am Happy we still have them in our town after many years. A great place to enjoy right after Church on a Sunday Morning or...
Read moreCame her today for breakfast with my sister around 8:40am. Asked the waitress for a water and coffee. Water was brought back with a piece of old food floating in it. Then opened up our silverware. Both of our silverware was dirty and my napkin had a dried stain on it. Told the waitress and she brought us new silverware and said she would tell the manager when they come in. The new silverware brought was also dirty, but I just ended up putting the dirty knife to the side. We were well passed done eating, but the waitress was to busy talking to notice. My sister finally asked for boxes and then check, she brought the boxes, but never brought the check. Guess her conversation with her coworker takes precedence over her job? After that we were just fed up and I went up to the counter to pay without the check because once again the waitress was to busy talking. I paid $29 for dirty silverware, dirty cups, and a waitress whoâs too busy chatting with an employee to help her customers. Food wasnât anything to rave about and we were so grossed out by the cleanliness of the establishment we really didnât eat it. Bad...
