UPDATE:
They addressed my concerns as a customer but I do not know for sure if it was because of the effort I had to expend to have the matter addressed, I still do not know if this experience happens to other customers (either previously or ongoing) and will serve as a reminder for RepairAll to not make the experience awful for anyone again.
So in summary, I neither recommend or not recommend this service to anyone, and expect anyone who had a bad experience speak up to eliminate any potential nuances of scamming possibly going on in the organization, and to prompt the organization to change their "worry-free guarantee" into something more honest.
RepairAll is a scam and I will explain why.
Their worry-free guarantee is false and nothing which happens to your mobile phone should there be issues will ever be covered by their services. If you received adequate service, understand that this company will still scam many other people and are likely to occasionally do a service properly in order to avoid appearing as a scam all the time.
I took my iPhone 6S 64GB Space Gray GSM (T-Mobile) phone in for a screen repair. While performing the service they prompted me for a battery replacement at a ridiculous price. Mind you, these associates who should only be performing repairs for Apple products if they are certified (a requirement to prevent issues that legitimate companies understand can jeapordize a phone as well as to prevent scam artists from opening up businesses claiming to perform a quality service, regardless of how legitimate they may appear, how knowledgeable they may seem, how proficient they may conduct themselves, etc.) was not even aware that Apple had offered a cheap battery replacement program through their website knowing that their batteries had issues (look it up if you need to).
The issue I had with this service is that the phone stopped working after I returned home. It was stuck on the logo when you first boot up your device. I took it upon myself to visit an Apple Store and set up an appointment with the Genius Bar technical services group (available at most Apple store locations) to receive official confirmation that the phone had hardware issues due to this tampering. I received proof of Apple's point of view as evidence to use just in case these scam artists at RepairAll were going to suggest that I did not have evidence to back up my claim (which is exactly what they did, shameless!)
Now, not everyone working for RepairAll are scam artists. I am talking about the owners and their policies. Do not hate on the associates, but those asociates better look for other jobs so they don't give themselves a reputation for being scam artists themselves. It is unfortunate in this society that businesses that we need and provide a great service to the community have been tainted and destroyed by scam artists.
RepairAll broke my phone permanently (no exagerration or hyperbole here) and I had to hassle them in order to get ANY nuance of them wanting to be held accountable or not diminish their responsibility to which they now owed me as a customer. YET EVEN AT THIS TIME I HAVE NOT HAD MY ISSUES ADDRESSED.
AGAIN, DO NOT USE REPAIRALL FOR YOUR MOBILE PHONE REPAIR NEEDS. THEY ONLY APPEAR LEGITIMATE. EVEN IF WHAT I WROTE IS NOT ENTIRELY TRUE ABOUT REPAIRALL AS A WHOLE, THE BUSINESS SHOULD REALIZE THAT EVEN ONE SCAM ARTIST IS ENOUGH TO RUIN THEIR REPUTATION FOREVER AND THEY SHOULD ATTEMPT TO ELIMINATE ANY SCAM ARTISTS WORKING WITHIN THEIR BUSINESS.
I ATTEMPTED TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BUT THEY ARE NOT EVEN LISTED AS A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS!
REPAIRALL, YOU WILL REGRET SCAMMING ANYONE OUT OF ANY MONEY EVER OR NOT DOING ENOUGH TO ELIMINATE SCAM ARTISTS WORKING UNDER YOUR NAME & I WILL MAKE SURE YOUR BUSINESS FAILS IF YOU DO NOT STOP YOUR...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday is 1/15/2020. I took my Sony phone in for a new screen on 10/15/2019. I called 2 weeks later since I had not heard from them. The person who took the order had been fired, no parts had been ordered and nothing had been done on the phone. The manager said he'd get right on it. Another 3 weeks goes by and no call. I call again and was told that they had gotten the wrong part and that the right one was on order. 4 more weeks go by and no call. I call again and was told the screen had just arrived and the guy that works on Sony phones will be in in 2 days. 4 days later, no call. I call again and am told the phone is ready. I go in to pick up the phone, turn it on and there is a big black splotches on the lcd screen from where a clamp had been used in the gluing process. The screen was ruined. I was told we are so sorry, we will order a new screen. It is now early December and I am off to Europe for the holidays. I was told it will be ready on my return. I arrive back on January 5th. No call, no message. I call again. I am told the phone is ready. I go in to pick it up. Everything looks good. After using the phone, the screen starts locking up. I take it back and the technician has a few ideas about the problem. I leave the phone and ask him to call or text me when he finds the problem. No call, no message. I call again. The manager tells me the phone is charging but is not sure if it had been repaired or not. He tries to contact the technician. Finally three days later the technician calls me and said everything is ready. I go in again. Everything seems to work. They had to do a hard reset to clear the problem and all apps and data are lost. Luckily I had done a backup. I noticed that the screen was coming unglued on one corner. The technician removed the screen and readhered it. So far all is well with the repair. It took them over 3 months to repair the phone and cost over 120.00 for a screen replacement. No one ever called to let me know anything, the repair quality is poor the repair cost is too high and the store is grossly mismanaged. I will never go back to this shop nor would I recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, to start they had me giving them five stars, back in mid December my phone was stolen and we had an old IPhone five here at the house but the battery wasn't charging so I took it in thinking I could just replace the battery and use it until I decide what type of new phone to buy. This was my first experience and they diagnosed the phone within an hour determined I needed new battery so I bought it and yes great service this first experience would have been a five, just before leaving I asked about the warranty they said 3 months.
Regarding my second visit I have been very busy but long story short the phone never kept a charge after leaving their store that first visit in mid December and when I finally had a chance to take it back to let them know, I dropped it off at 3 PM and mind you still under their warranty. Person behind the counter said he was by himself and wouldn't be Able to look at it now an would take a couple hours , so I left it along with my information. No call back for a week , I went in and was told they were able to diagnose the phone and that I must have dropped it or messed up the IC Chip and that they do not have any tech to repair it, also that will be $30 he said , now remember it never kept a charge with a battery they sold me $58 and now the want to charge me $30 more for a battery that never solved my problem. After be berated and told it must have been something I did as well as talked to like I was a child. Finally the person got the owner on the phone and I got my refund.... Never to return! I do not see this business...
