Service was beyond horrible. We were first there when they opened at 5p.m. We took our seats first and knew exactly what we wanted to order. The server came to our table last out of 4 total that came after us. When he reached us he said, "what can I get you?" No grating or anything. I asked, " may I please have a straw?" I did not get a response. My husband repeated my question and still no response. So he repeated the question a third time, not knowing if there was maybe a barrier in communication, however the waiter whipped around, stormed off and returned with 4 straws and presented them by sticking them in my face. I said thank you and he said, "Now you can place your order?" So that first interaction was astounding. About 30 minutes later when our food come out we were short our main meat course that took an additional 15 minutes! No joke! I was please by all the flavors but the service is beyond reprehensible. As we ate our water cups became empty and our server was no where to be found. After watching other servers pass us by numerous times I finally gave up waiting and asked another server for water. When my family and I were done we were presented with our tab that ended up having an extra dish added on that we did not order making our bill $15 higher. I figured the guy might be having a bad day but it really was an overall experience that I will never put myself through again. If you decide to try it out total your bill and go in with thick...
Read moreI eat at Buddha Thai at least once a month. Sunday night was the first time i recieved horrendous service.
Called ahead for a reservation for 12 people. Arrived all at once, on time. The waiter, Vong, instantly seemed annoyed with our presence while taking our order. Appetizers came out on time, and were delicious. Dinner orders came out faster than expected for a party of 12, and were delicious. The downfall came with the service (lack there of) once we had our food. We were at the table a good 30 minutes without once being offered water refills. When Vong finally decided to bring the water container by, he filled 1 glass then placed the jug on the table and walked away. Soy sauce was requested to another passing waiter (Vong was no where to be found) the waiter returned and tossed the packets into the middle of the table instead of placing them in my very obvious out stretched hand. Displeased with the service i was receiving, i requested to speak with the manager. Come to find out, Vong is the manager. No wonder the front of the house was in disarray.
Not sure what happened with the usual helpful staff, but this place will be run into the ground with Vong at the lead.
If you feel like pouring your own water and catering to your own party while you pay a $350 dollar tab + gratuity... this is the...
Read moreOne of the best Thai restaurants that I have ever been to! Located in a random shopping center near the premium outlets, this hipster place is a hidden gem that treats you like family. It's also one of Yelp's Top 100 places to eat.
My meal started with a vegetarian spring roll appetizer that was refreshing and delicious. It paired perfectly with the not too strong peanut sauce and the flavorful chili oil dip they provided. They also quickly brought out the mango lasa, which is like a mojito with fresh mango bits. For the main course I had the duck special, which is the owner's mom's original recipe (and the server was more excited than me when I ordered it!). The duck was cooked tender, flavorful with garlic, and so juicy and good. It came with broccoli and was presented beautifully. I like the way they also cook the rice here so it's not too moist and tastes good.
I also tried a bit of the curry shrimp, and the thai curry here is some of the best I've had. Lastly I had mango with sticky rice, and they doused the entire place with coconut milk which I love. The reason I would come back is the service- the staff here always smiled and I really felt like I was part of their Southeast...
