Yo Sushi & Ramen is located in the Vacaville Commons Shopping Center. Since they opened a couple months ago, I’ve been wanting to eat here as I love the sushi from Yo Sushi in both Fairfield and Vallejo (not sure if same owner). This location has an expanded menu that includes ramen. There is quite a bit of indoor seating for small and larger parties. You place your order on the tablet (very easy to add items to the cart and place order) attached to the table, but they do provide a physical menu for you to review before place your order on the tablet. For our first visit to today, my wife and I decided to order a bento box each to sample a couple of their offerings. Their menu is pretty massive and there are so many items to choose from, so it made it very hard to decide, even for the bento box. I recommend checking out their menu ahead of time so you have an idea what you may want to order.
Service (4.5/5 stars): Super friendly employees and ready to help with ordering and answer any questions. We were check up on initially after our food was delivered, but on the second half of our meal, I was hoping to be check on again so I can a refill on water, but I ended up having to wave a waitstaff down to ask for water refill was was done promptly. To pay, you can track down a waitstaff and they can bring a tablet over for you to pay or you can pay at the front (just tell them your table number). This restaurant is new, but service seems to be coming along. The waitstaff just needs to learn to check on the tables a little more, particularly for drink refills. I like that the owner/management step in to assist the servers as needed.
Food (4.5/5): Bento Box (Teriyaki Beef & Grilled Salmon with Teriyaki Sauce on the side) Bento Box (Teriyaki Beef & Shiitake Roll) The teriyaki beef is sliced beef versus strips of steak which I’m not fond of, but the portion size is decent and the teriyaki sauce tastes good (not too salty or too sweet). The grilled salmon was not overcooked and was a nice sized portion. The shiitake mushroom roll was better than expected because the mushroom was seasoned really well. Fried Gyoza: We didn’t order this, but partway eating our bento box, a server came by and said the gyoza was “on the house!” Not sure what the reason was for the free gyoza, but a Big Thanks to Yo Sushi & Ramen for that! The gyoza had a nice crunch to them and the ground beef inside was good. The dipping sauce was not overcooked salty which was nice.
Overall (4.5 stars): I am happy that Yo Sushi & Ramen opened in Vacaville. They are definitely a great addition to the many restaurants in Vacaville! Since their menu is so massive, I will need to return many times to try all their...
Read more5-Star Sushi Experience at Yo Sushi Vacaville If you’re looking for top-tier sushi in a laid-back setting, Yo Sushi in Vacaville is your new go-to spot. The space is clean and inviting. But let’s talk about the food. The quality of the fish at Yo Sushi is simply exceptional. Every piece is incredibly fresh, melting in your mouth with that perfect balance of flavor and texture. The Crazy Horse roll is a standout—the tuna is rich and buttery, while the salmon feels almost ethereal. You can taste the freshness in every bite, and it’s clear that the fish is sourced with care. The rolls are inventive but not over the top. The Nut Tree with its spicy tuna, panko shrimp unagi, avocado, and a delicate mix of wasabi mayo and spicy unagi sauce is a masterpiece, offering just the right combination of bold and subtle flavors. And don’t forget about appetizers—the Spicy Edamame, Fried Gyoza, and Miso Soup are a must-try. Service at Yo Sushi was very good but keep in mind that it is a newly opened establishment. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to recommend the best choices for all palates. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or a newcomer, they’ll help guide you through the menu and ensure you have an unforgettable experience. If you’re in the area and craving sushi that’s fresh and high quality, I highly recommend you give this gem a try. Yo Sushi Vacaville is already gaining a reputation, and it’s...
Read moreWe were sitting next to a dirty table hoping this place would be a clean , cute and romantic setting definitely didn’t like the aesthetic . You’d expect a place like this to at least be clean because there’s tablets on the tables and no one takes your order. You have to order from your table .
The food was horrible . The miso soup was not good and I love miso soup I’ve had it plenty of times at other places . The angry lion King roll was not good at all . The mafia was not good at all . They definitely were not made with love . I love sushi raw , baked and deep fried it doesn’t matter to me but it didn’t satisfy my taste buds or my husband’s . If I don’t like something or if he doesn’t like something we usually have one another try it to see if one of us likes it but we both didn’t like it . We didn’t eat the rolls and I didn’t finish my miso the waiter offered to take 20$ off our order I was very disappointed he should of just took both of them off because we told him we didn’t like them both . He could’ve smoothed things over by offering A different roll in exchange or a free dessert but that didn’t happen and I just wanted to get out of there . WORST SUSHI RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD . Never coming back here . The Only thing I liked was the OMG ROLL . But that’s it . The chicken on a stick (Appetizer)6/10 for my husband . 2/10 For me . Shrimp tempura 6/10
