On most occasions, this store is not too bad. Mostly pleasant, clean, and it even started offering the service of doing Amazon returns for free.
However, I just had a highly unpleasant experience stopping by this store earlier today. I had $10 in kohls cash and so my husband and I stopped by to do some shopping. As soon as we entered the store, the entrance by the women's athletic department, I met eyes with an older lady employee standing next to a cash register. She didn't smile or say anything, which is fine but definitely not customer friendly since we locked eyes and all.
Then I went up to pay but on the other side of the store by men's wear, the cashier was a different older lady with short hair down to about her chin. We asked her to put a pair of shoes away decided against, she wasn't too happy about that and it sure showed. Then we were ready to pay for our items. I asked her about using a coupon code as I am not getting emails from kohl's with the bar code for a few months like I have before due to some sort of technical issue. I told her I have a Kohl's charge card but all she told me was she cannot enter the code (this has been done for me before at another store) and so I decided to go to customer service.
At the customer service desk, I told a middle age lady employee about my situation but she barely listened to what I was telling her before telling me to call the helpdesk with my email issue and I told her I understand that. After trying to ask her for what I wanted again, she then told me they couldn't enter a coupon code but I can use a scratch off. I said okay and was ready for pay for my items right there. She, however, wouldn't ring me up and simply told me I had to go to the front of the store as there are customers waiting (there was another employee working the customer service desk and there were only 2 people waiting and they were together too) like I am not important enough. Also they have ringed me up at the customer service desk before and so why they cannot do it today is besides me. After that, I simply decided to put back most of my items. I only ended up buying just over $10 (ended up paying .48 cents) only to use my kohl's cash. From now on, I think I will just shop online. I shouldn't have to deal with subpar customer service and having an unpleasant experience like this really makes one not want to deal with going...
Read moreI place an online order expecting to use curbside pick up as I was in a bit of a hurry. When I arrived curbside was closed. Ok, so I went in and it’s in the back but no worries things happen. I get back there and it’s self pick up but I don’t appear to have the information needed for self pick up. I go to the counter and let her know I’m picking up an online order. She seems annoyed and asked if I checked self pick up. I let her know I looked but it wasn’t there. She scans my barcode goes in the back grabs a bag with my items in a bag and says you can’t have the bag (I understand my state requires bags to be purchased, she did not offer that to me). She dumps my stuff on the counter and says there you go. I now have to walk through the store with a wad of clothes in my arms. I get to the door looking like a shop lifter and of course the alarm goes off because there was a sensor. Another employee loudly says did you pay for those over there?! And everyone is looking at me like a shop lifter. I let her know it was an order pick up and they didn’t offer a bag. She found the sensor looked at my receipt and gave me my wad of clothes back. I understand customer service is tough as ever and didn’t say anything but I was so...
Read moreMy wife and I were picking out our outfits for our first Christmas together. We found a couple of things and headed to the fitting room and while in there one of the associates came in and started screaming at us to get out of her dressing room right now and we were like “us??” And she said “yes, u can’t have sex in my fitting room”..obviously we weren’t. So we came out right away and an associate was putting away stuff right outside I confronted her and she turned completely red while stuttering that she had no idea what we were talking about.. clearly it had been her. We headed to the door and another associate asked if we needed any help with anything and we asked to speak to his manager after explaining the situation that had just happened he was totally nice and apologetic about everything but as soon as the manager came she was totally uninterested in the situation and cut me off as I was trying to explain what happened with an “ok thanks”. Totally killed our shopping mood it’s ridiculous that they can get away with treating customers like that. Rude rude rude! We will 100% NEVER be going back to...
