Tonight was my second visit in 10 months. I wasn't impressed on my first visit when I had a chicken quesadilla for lunch. This visit was even less impressive. First, when we walked in around 6:30pm, they weren't very busy but we stood waiting to be greeted for at least a minute, which when you are standing there waiting to be greeted, seems like a long time. Two staff walked by without acknowledging us. A third staff saw us and called to someone to seat us. They brought chips, salsa and water to our table as soon as we were seated and refilled our water glasses frequently, so that was a positive. The waiter wasn't particularly friendly (no pleasantries) and seemed in a rush to take our order with as few words as possible. The meals arrived quickly and as ordered. There is just nothing special about the food here. I was surprised that this place received such good reviews and that people think this is authentic Mexican food. It's close to home but I won't be eating here again. Oh, and we both had a chicken and a cheese enchilada and my friend also had a beef taco which dripped a ridiculous amount of grease when she picked it up. She left at least half of her meal, it was that bad. Mine wasn't bad, just bland and uninspired. The ladies in the purple...
Read moreFirst things first the building is beautiful. The decorations and the architecture is really nice. There are big intricate murals on the walls and the booths have carvings of the building and other scenery. The outside of the building had a little wear but the inside was great. The staff was pretty nice. They seated us right away, almost immediately after we got water, chips, and salsa brought to us without even asking and then were asked if they could give us anything else before we even opened our menus. The food was where my family and i had issues.
The food wasn't inherently bad or anything. It was just kind of bland. I was expecting a bit more flavor in my dish (i ordered fajitas) and my other two family members mirrored my feelings. They actually brought it up before i did. We ended up leaving wishing we would have gone to a different establishment just because of the food. Again, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was just average. Prices were pretty normal for the type of restraunt so i can't complain about that.
I wish i could give more stars based on the building alone, but since i need to judge the whole experience i gave three stars. It was an okay experience and that...
Read moreThe food was good but the host is a racist, and rude person. I would never go back here again for this reason and it is such a pity since it is a nice place. We visited today, April 9, for dinner at about 6.45pm or there about. We were first in line and when the host came out, I over forward to speak to him or for him to ask how many people, but to my surprise and utter disgust, he looked beyond me without even though acknowledging that I was standing there to ask the people behind us, who were white,if they were next. Luckily the lady stepped up and said," she and her family were here first". He said ok and I said ok maybe it was just an oversight. However when he came out again to seat those waiting he did the same thing again and once again this kind lady stepped up and said "they were here before us". If it werent for mu humgry kids and us having waited so long we would have walked out . We will never eat here again for this reason. This person should not be in the hospitality or any other industry with his behavior towards customers. He should not be at the front of the "house" or at the back for that matter with his...
