This restaurant has gone exponentially downhill. I had so many great experiences eating in here and rarely had a bad night or dinner (hence the two stars instead of one). However, lately, they've been terrible. I've done to go orders two times within the last month or so now and both times were cruddy. The first one I had a neighbor drive me over to pick up because my car was having issues. The guy that grabbed my to go order didn't even go through my order/the bag with me like every other Olive Garden does to ensure everything is there. He brought the bag up, took my card and charged it, and then just walked off without so much as a word. I had gotten the strawberry passion fruit limonata to go with no ice and even though these drinks are expensive to go as it is, whoever filled the cup didn't even fill it CLOSE to the top. There was a massive gap from the drink to the lid. I went home and as I went through the bag I realized there was absolutely no chicken gnocchi soup in the bag. I was super irritated as I was looking forward to that the most. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. The manager offered for me to come pick it up along with a free dessert (which I couldn't do because I wasn't going to make my neighbor go back) or offered a gift card. I chose the gift card option and gave my name and email. I never received that gift card in my email and that was weeks ago. She had read my email back to me correctly so it's not the case of getting it wrong. It was just never sent. That peeved me off as it was.
Then I came back to do to go for my birthday on the 24th. Olive Garden had switched to curbside/to go only by this point. I had ordered my usual and everything was extremely disappointing again. The woman on the phone had read back our order to us correctly. However, when I got there and the guy brought it out, my strawberry passion fruit limonata had ice in it (I asked for no ice as I usually do), there was no shredded cheese in the cup that I requested (the kind they shred at the table), and the marinara cups for the fried mozzarella were spilling all over inside the container. I had gone with my mother to pick this order up and she had mentioned we asked for no ice and the shredded cheese in a cup. He proceeded to get accusatory and said "well it didn't say no ice on the order and there was no cheese in a cup on the order as well" which 1) is super unprofessional as it is but 2) we did specifically order both. It's not our fault if the woman who took our order over the phone forgot to put it in correctly, if at all. The drink came out with no ice and he basically only just poured the ice out instead of pouring a new cup. That's fine or whatever, but then I had the SAME issue where there was a huge gap between the lid and the drink again! It's really not that hard to fill the cup fully. My mother asked him to fill it fully (which he did) but the whole interaction rubbed me the wrong way. We got home and everything tasted mediocre. The fried mozzarella was already cold as well which made no sense as we arrived right at the time they said it'd be ready (6:45) and we didn't live THAT far away. The whole experience made me wish I just ordered a 7/11 pizza for dinner instead which says a lot. My mother tried calling this Olive Garden afterwards to speak with a manager about the whole interaction but nobody was picking up the phone.
I definitely won't be coming back again until dining in is available, and even then I'm extremely wary after all of the issues I've had. Olive Garden costs way too much to have such mediocre service and food, along with barely half filled...
Read moreI've been going to Olive Garden since childhood, but this is the first time since I've been able to truly taste things. Brittany was an excellent server, answering all questions with courtesy and respect, and made sure my mom and I were well taken care of. A salad that I used to find too bland made flavorful, with the dressing lightly coating and highlighting each part of the salad. Even enjoyed the taste of the olives to a degree! It was nice being able to taste the lighter flavors on the breadsticks, with each bite having small bursts of saltiness that I enjoyed. I also got to try their Stuffed Ziti Fritta, which was nice, but not something I'd personally get again. They were fried extremely well, having a nice crunch, leading to a burst of cheese. The marinara and Alfredo also went well with them, although I'd take the former over the latter for this particular dish. The fritta tended to just blend the flavors, hiding some of the Alfredo's better qualities, which were much more present when using the breadsticks. I also had their special Stuffed Chicken Marsala, at the requested suggestion from the server Brittany, which was very pleasant. While I'm not usually for mushrooms, the sauce was nice, with a pleasant sweetness to it, although my mom would beg to differ. The chicken was good, although it was a little hard to cut through all the layers, occasionally pulling slight strips from the outside where it'd been crisped. The stuffing was also nice, although I didn't think to try it separately from the chicken, which it complimented well. My mom had tried just the stuffing and found it to be too much, however. It is possible that it was too strong to do so, but that's why it's called Stuffed Chicken. They serve it with potatoes, which were some of the lightest and fluffiest I've had, although it lacked the expected butteriness, which I'd been told not to expect when it was recommended. I can fully say that this was a...
Read moreOlive Gardens food and quality has always been our go-to comfort Italian family style, but this review isn't for their food. This review is for the incredible service that the night service team and manager provided on Friday, Sept 25th around 8 PM. My family and I are from the Oregon coast and were traveling for our sons specialist appointment at OHSU for an upcoming surgery. At this point we were next to exhausted after 2 days of travel and stress and we were running on fumes. Our waitress (Shauna?) and our bartender (Nikki) were absolute delights. Shauna shared her own sons Doernbecher stories with us and helped bring us peace of mind. Nikki is a spit fire personality and was slinging bar specials like a pro! Fast forward through the delicious meal and to the incredibly embarrassing part where our bank card with more than enough funds is declined. Our server tried every machine and the floor manager even came to apologize and let us know not to worry. I slipped away to my banks nearby ATM and was still denied access to my account as Chase assumed our dinner that took place barely over the WA border was fraud and had frozen our funds. We were mortified as we never carry cash and what we had wasn't even enough for a tip, let alone our meals. When I returned, my husband had been treated to another drink while our server and bartender chatted with our very tired son. The floor manager went above and beyond and jumped through hoops so we could pay our tab, even taking payment over the phone from a family member in an entirely different state and working with me and that family member to ensure proper authorization on the card. This location would have let us walk away without a fuss and were so kind and helpful. When I was trying to MAKE it right, they were just DOING right. Thank you Shauna, thank you Nikki, and thank you to the young floor manager, I did not catch his name. We will absolutely...
