LAST TIME I EVER COME HERE! I’ve been to this nail salon multiple times and never had a bad experience until the other day. I called a couple days before my appointment to book it and i asked for a acrylic full set and my toes done when i walked in there everything was fine i loved my toes and then forgot seated to get started on my nails. Not one person asked or clarified what i was getting done so i assumed they were gonna give me acrylics the lady then started putting gel X on my nails and she has already cured 2 before i could notice so i said to myself okay it’s fine let me give it a try since i’ve never had it done before. I asked for a french tip which she only put 2 coats on so you could see right through my nail to the gel x underneath also they didn’t have the correct short tip so she put a long tip on and the nail was completely uneven from the other hand. After i went home and paid $150 not including tip i said to myself that for $80 this should be what i want so i called that night and asked to get them repainted. They said yes and the next day i was gonna get them redone while i was getting ready to go there i bumped a nail and my whole nail ripped from my skin but was hanging on i drove myself to the ER and they ripped of the nail and said it won’t grow back for a year. need less to stay this business has no communication if i would have gotten acrylic like i asked and booked for my whole nail wouldn’t have ripped off. Based on the ratings, I gave Celebrity Nails a try for a pedicure. What started out as a relaxing experience in a beautiful facility ended in absolute dissatisfaction and pain. While removing dead skin from the big toe area (tool looks like a cheese grater), the tech ripped open the side of my toe (pictured, taken today, day-of) and it bled heavily. I knew he felt bad but he slapped some anti-coagulant powder on and stuck my still-bleeding foot into the paraffin bag and finished the service. It stung the entire time and still hurting now. He hinted that he would give me a discount. At checkout, I was charged full price for the service and was told he discounted me the $15 to use the massage chair! I’ve had countless pedis in my life and have never been charged for the massage chair. Nothing else was offered even when I asked if that was all they were going to do for me and was visibly upset. Completely unacceptable. I know it was an accident, but not offering any other discount for the trouble was baffling. The pedi itself is a C+ Past techs are always able to get right down to the skin to cover up a discoloration issue (genetic) and he did not even do it after I asked him. Dead skin was left all over my feet and between my toes, there was uneven cutting of the nails, and a few polish flubs. I rarely give a bad review. This was my first time visiting celebrity nails, the salon was clean and beautiful, and everyone was very friendly. Nancy made suggestions for me when I was struggling with a nail shape and was simply amazing! Celebrity nails will be the only nail salon I go to from now on.

I believe this review I gave was a year or two ago. I have been unable to go ever since and today I went around 5:30 PM. I had an appointment. I understand they were running late and it wasn’t a big deal. I have not had a manicure in at least a year and I was so excited for my gel manicure as I have family coming in. Everything was rushed, and I asked Angel to please paint my nails completely as I don’t like a gap between my nail and cuticle. She did not listen to me my nails look terrible like they’re a week old. I’m so upset. It seems like anywhere I go in Venice / Nokomis . I have a horrible experience. I don’t make a lot of money so when I treat myself, I really hope that the service is great. It was not everyone was friendly Angel of course probably had a language barrier but at the end, she was very friendly. I thought maybe she couldn’t hear me or understand that I did not like that there was a gap in between my cuticles and my nails. I literally am so upset. If you look close enough, you can see the tips of my nails are white. I literally look like I’ve had my gel nail polish for at least a week.I can’t stop crying.
