Besides Ollies store have some good deals, the restrooms are different story. I looked at every single stall to try to find a larger one (because they are riduculous tiny) or one without water on the floor around the toilet, so that I wouldn't have to take up the handicap stall. Every single original door lock is missing, except the one with a different latch and it doesnt even line up to lock properly! The ONLY bathroom stall that actually locked properly was the handicap stall!! Then you get to the sink in the handicap stall and there's no handle to it!! WTH? But why not out of the two sinks in the main area that have "out of order" signs, take one of those handles off and put it on the handicap stall sink because they're all the same? Has anyone tried to care? Just because you are a discount store doesn't mean you should have dysfunctioning bathrooms. Does management not care? I go into the store in the evenings so it's rather not that busy but I can imagine during the daytime you need more than one lockable stall! The two sinks that have been marked out of order for over a year now and last year the bathroom stalls were the same. Since there are more people in Florida now I would think there would be money available to fix simple things like adding door locks, yet nobody is paying attention! It's rundown and disgusting giving me Big Lots bathroom vibes in this so-called rich county. Also the back of the store is always a mess it seems, couple times I went there wasn't a lot of...
Read moreNot sure if the cashier is practicing for stand up comedy but everytime I come into this store, he has sarcastic things to say..today he said something about age with a chuckle when I gave him my phone number for the rewards program they have .
I always wind up going through his line because the other cashier has something going on . Like a return or problem with a price .
Today was no exception . I could hear him as I came into the store telling the customer that was checking out, "please tell corporate how badly that I'm doing so I can get fired" and they were talking about unemployment. When I went through the line today , he said the same thing to me . How about thanking me for shopping there to help pay wages so people that don't want to get fired can have jobs?
I also dont understand the waiting to bag all your items after they are done ringing you up . Its not efficient at all. 99% of stores bag as they ring so it is not an added step ..and you are not forced to stand there any longer than you have to listening to this csshiers horrible humor.
I found many items today nearing their expiration date so you have to be careful choosing what you are buying . Overall , Ollie's is a decent store. Sort of like a Big Lots, but they should really improve the overall customer service experience here at...
Read moreConsider me an Ollie's fan for life! I walked in after unsuccessfully browsing several stores for a gift for a 13-year-old boy, a tall order. Ollie's reminds me of a store from my young adult ears on Long Island called national wholesale liquidators. I still have laundry baskets that I bought in the 1990s from there. This store has everything, at really good prices. And items that you don't find in your usual trips to Target or Walmart or Home goods. It's kind of an eclectic mix. I walked into a giant display of brownie brittle. So of course I had to buy a bag. The book section is amazing. I only had enough time to briefly wander, but it seems like every shopping category is well represented. I don't think this is the type of store where you can always find your regular favorites, but it definitely seems to be a treasure trove. I will be...
