We dine at Bonefish in Venice Florida fairly often, finding each experience consistently at a four and 5 star level. This restaurant now accepts reservations which is a very big improvement over the call ahead system they used to use. Bonefish is certainly the best of chain dining by a significant degree. The consistency of food quality and preparation is outstanding for a chain. The dining atmosphere is superior to many higher end restaurants. This Bonefish is very clean and well maintained. There are always excellent specials featuring fresh catch of the day. The menu offers many choices and options, along with a nice range of pricing. The bar has a high end appearance and feel. The drinks are always expertly mixed and presented. The restaurant manager always pays a visit to every table to gather feedback. Ay the table next to us , one of the chefs had left the kitchen to help explain the preparation of a dish to a concerned customer. Outstanding service and customer focus! I need to provide special kudos to our server, Maria. She is a polished professional who provides a major role in the satisfaction and quality of the dining experience at this restaurant. She is engaging, cheerful, and friendly. She knows the menu and each day’s specials inside and out. Her knowledge also extends to the many special cocktails offered by the bar. Maria’s food and drink recommendations are always validated by our experience. Maria is very attentive and responsive to the needs of each diner, and is so in a very professional fashion with just the right timing always. Things are never rushed, even when busy. Bone fish in Venice has been a standard "go to" for happy hour and dinner. We planned a night out with a group of professional business women. 3 of us arrived early and sat on the bar side, since we would have (and did) 10 people, we chose one of the long tables for 10. They have 3, the middle one was empty as was most of the room at 4pm, the other had one couple having food and drinks sitting on the end. When we arrived we told the hostess that we were having 10 people, again 3 of us were there and that we would sit as the others trickled in. The manager approached and told us that he could not hold that table for the group. Remember, the room was near empty, very few patrons. His approach was ridiculous to all, almost to the point of us leaving. He joked and said he would come with us.... We sat, ordered food and drinks immediately, dismissing his making our arrival less than accommodating. Within 30 minutes and long before the room became lively most of our party had arrived and by 5 our table was full, just as we stated. As business women, all in service, we looked at how he handled our arrival with disappointment and we will chose another place in the future. I recently dined at Bonefish Grill, and overall, it was a delightful experience. I ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection—tender and juicy, just as I’d hoped. It came with a side of creamy, flavorful mashed potatoes and crisp, well-seasoned green beans that complemented the steak wonderfully.

My wife chose the Bang Bang Shrimp, which she absolutely loved. The shrimp were perfectly fried and tossed in a spicy, creamy sauce that had just the right kick. She paired it with the truffle fries, which were golden and crispy with that irresistible truffle flavor. For dessert, she had the Key Lime Martini, which she raved about. It tasted just like a slice of key lime pie in a glass, refreshing and tangy with a hint of sweetness—highly recommended!

The atmosphere at Bonefish Grill was relaxed yet lively, with a comfortable vibe that made it perfect for a casual dinner out. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience.
