Petco — Local services in Venice

Brings me great sadness to leave this review, but i have no choice. 2 months ago I walked into this store inquiring about Tarantula spiders. Tom, the manager of this location, went out of his way to show me a list of spiders i could purchase. I chose a few and was told they would arrive within a few weeks at the most. I checked in and checked in and got no answers as to what was going on. Until 1 day I was told by a store associate. I believe Chase was the name, but i could be mistaken. They had arrived to the Ft myers store. I was happy to go pick them up. So I drove 1 hour to Ft myers. No spiders. I call Toms store to find Toms not working. Death in the family i was told. So I cut him some slack and didnt bother him for 2 weeks. I eventually reached out to Tom and was told in so many words. He hadnt got a clue what was going on. As if he never even ordered them at all. No answers. No nothing. So I give it another week. Tom calls me after hearing ive now called the store about 10 times wondering whats going on. He tells me he will reach out as soon as he has them. That was 2 weeks ago. There's nothing on this earth I hate more than a man going out of his way to tell me he can do something and not following through. Then to not even have the courage or respect to tell me wtf is going on after all this time. Tom, im sorry about your mother, but we've been more than patient with you. You failed us and now i am required to badmouth Petco every chance get. As you went out of your way to get my hopes up, I will go out of my way to stop as many people as I can from visiting this store. Your service is garbage. You have my number. I was looking forward to my dog getting groomed cause my dog suffers from anxiety from a bad experience with a groomer and I thought we had found a good groomer when I found Eden. So, I was told it would be 2 hours, so I went outside the grooming department to sit on the bench they have next to the door. Well, the bench was gone and when I asked where it went and was informed that all chairs and benches have been removed from the store cause the employees was sitting on the job. So, I informed them that I am disabled and need someplace to sit down and watch my dog. I was then informed I could sit on the bench that is outside the door. Which at that time of day it was 94 degrees with a heat index of 115. I then informed them that I will not be sitting outside and then I told them they suck. Yes, I did say that about 4- or 5-times cause of the way I was being treated by the girls. So, I went outside to cool down and when I went back in Edan came to me and told me that she will not be grooming my dog because I disrespected her coworkers. I told her I was sorry and left the store. I felt like I was treated unfairly when I told them I was disabled and needed to sit down. My girlfriend went in there 2 days later and the bench was back. So, this is the only place that I like the buy my dogs food and don't even know if I want to go back into our store for being...

I was going to take my dog to the grooming salon and the lady was very rude to me when I entered the room and asked if they were busy. There were two other dogs in line which looked nervous, especially the puppy, which when the dog was taken into the grooming room that same lady said that the dog needed to be with a specific groomer because he “is good with the feisty ones.” But that puppy was sitting still in his mother’s lap and fairly calm before. On top of all of that, there was a standard poodle being groomed that was rapidly puffing its cheeks in an out. When a dog is being groomed and gets so nervous and stressed out that they do that, they risk hyperventilating, fainting, and even heart attack.
