First off, absolutely no employees were wearing a mask. I called for a togo order, we had the manager on duty answer and take our order. We got a maui wowie burger with fries and then we got a mango chicken wrap, I got two sides, coleslaw and edamame and one was an upcharge. So I picked up my order and got home to realize there was no bacon pineapple and cheese on my burger which makes the Maui wowie burger and I also didn’t get my second side of edamame I only got the coleslaw. Plus the food was cold. So I called back to see if we could get things set right. They said yes. So I went back expecting good customer service and for them to replace the meal. As I walked in the server approached the manger asking if the burger was being made and the manger was on her phone and told the server that it wasn’t a big deal and to just slap on some cheese and bacon and pineapple. They then put it on the cold burger and gave it back to me with cold fries. I was disappointed because not only did they mess it up the first time but I had to go all the way back expecting them to fix the problem just for the manager to say it’s no big deal and give me cold food. I used to enjoy eating at the old salty dog, but now I’m not sure if I want to spend my money...

June 4th 2024. My brother and his wife wanted me to try this place. We showed up just after 6 pm. We were seated on the outside deck, there were only a handful of other diners out there. The restaurant was not busy. It took over 10 mins for someone to come get our drink orders. I ordered a sweet tea and both my brother and his wife ordered half sweet and half unsweetened tea. When the drinks finally arrived. I tried my tea and it was nasty. It was not sweet. Nor was my brothers or my sister in law half and half. After several mins I was finally able to hail our waiter. I nicely explained my tea was not sweet. The waiter argued with me saying “yes it is sweet because I made it”. So we exchanged words and my brother also stated his tea wasn’t right either. So I finally told the waiter I’m not drinking his tea and to bring me a lemonade. What ever happened to the customer is always right? The waiter, a young man showed no respect and wanted to argue over the tea. I suggest this waiter find another line of work.

The food was hot and the atmosphere was decent.

My brother and sister in law were just taken back by the behavior of the waiter. My brother did not want me to talk to the manager or make a complaint about the...

First we were seated, after more than ten minutes without anyone coming to the table, I walked inside to ask if anyone was going to wait on us... Very apologetic, and a young man came out pretty quickly saying no one had told him we were his table. He was pleasant enough. Took our order and he was back very quickly with our food. It looked and tasted great. Large portions and excellent taste.

Then he didn't come back to check on us, so we flagged down a waitress who was working another table and asked for utensils as our waiter dropped off the food and took off into another room. She got us our utensils, later on after my iced tea had sat empty for a while she went and checked on her table again, we flagged her down again asking if she could send our waiter over, he came by to ask how the meal was, I ordered a refill on my iced tea, many minutes later we asked the other waitress to send our waiter over again and asked where my iced tea was, he'd forgotten to get it for me. Both our meals were great, again great portions and very tasty.

We'll be back, but hoping for another waiter, he was pleasant and good when he came out, but really didn't check on us once the food...

Was looking for a waterfront eating establishment… saw that it was rated 4+ stars. So we gave it a try. Place had a funky local vibe, looked clean and inviting. We sat outside, great weather and the atmosphere was laid back and relaxed! We liked that. Ordered a couple house signature drinks, they were OK, wife said she really couldn’t taste any alcohol in her drink mostly juice(shark bite) my margarita w/ corona floater was OK. Then it got annoying, “dog friendly”, NOT A big fan of restaurants that allow dogs. Especially when you have dogs that are barking at servers, other patrons, and just being annoying as hell. C’mon your dog doesn’t have to be with you at a restaurant, I get it, WE LOVE our dogs, but we understand that there is a time and place for them, a RESTAURANT is not it! Sorry… Anyways, food was disappointing, wife’s order did not arrive as ordered. My fish wrap was mostly wrap and not much fish. Overall 2 stars, and was disappointed. I do not recommend this place.

**lactose free review** This is our go to margarita spot. See the photos the margaritas are huge and taste great. Just get lime on the rocks. I have lactose intolerance that is particularly nasty. I asked them about their famous salty dog and they said it is lactose free. This is great! It's alike a corn dog but fried in a better batter. Some batter will have milk, butter milks or butter in them. They don't. This was really a pleasant surprise. See the picture of the dog here. I out relish, mustard, ketchup and fresh chopped onion. It was great. The fries were good too. The one dog is large and filling. No need for anymore than that. I also really liked that the restaurant is on a marina. Lots of boats to look at and a different vibe from the beachfront restaurants and bars. They also are very dog friendly. It's part of their decor and they have water dishes everywhere for them. 🐕‍🦺🐕🐩🐶

The Old Salty Dog is a great little restaurant for you, your family, and your dog! The food spice is really well balanced with enough kick and seasoning to make the meal enjoyable. In the pictures above, you will see the Shrip Po Boy, with plenty of shrip. So much shrip we could barely close the sandwich. You will also see the Firecracker blackened Mahi Mahi wrap with their signature Boom Boom sauce. It was delicious! We did order another shrip Firecracker wrap, which had a bit of sand in it. There was nothing to complain about, but the restaurant did comp that part of the bill, which wasn't necessary but appreciated. If you're not in the mood for fries, their side salad will definitely be a good substitute because they give a nice large portion. We will continue to come back to this restaurant!
