A pretty nice selection, but mostly very expensive, though I guess if you live in Ventura thatās not much of an issue, and maybe youāll be less bothered when you turn over a $38 basket to see $2.25 written on it in pencil and take a moment to marvel at the markup, or have a good private laugh when you see a 4ā square glass box āas isā with a cracked glass pane and a label that says $22 PRICE FIRM like someone asked if theyād bargain on the price considering the damage and they said no, this damaged box is worth $22 and not a penny less. Or maybe they were just preparing in advance for the inevitable bargain hunter. (This is certainly no place for bargain hunters). I did find two cool things that were affordable enough, but that was after a considerable time (30+ minutes) spent browsing and getting discouraged. I can see reasons to markup truly antique items but there are reproductions and modern pieces in there too with price tags that are just as ridiculous. Case in point: they were selling a single empty bottle of Lucky Buddha beer for $8 like itās some vintage glass decanter when you can buy a six pack of them⦠for $11. Plus, you know. You...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately, I moved across the country a couple years ago, otherwise I'd still be a regular. This is seriously THE best antique store near and far. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this gem because l've been to too many flea markets and other vendor malls where they either have crap or they are overpriced. This place is amazing in every way. It starts with their staff who is always, always, always superfriendly and attentive and in for a nice chat. They even gave me a free tank top once because I mentioned that my birthday was coming up. They have so much different stuff, there is something for everybody and there is always something for me, for sure! Furniture, decoration from all decades, LPs, vintage toys, books, DVDs, props, historic artifacts, cards, ... I could go on and on. The best part is that they have reasonable prices. I found items that would have been waaay more at other stores and I don't want to know how much they'd charge at "the hip places" in LA. Anyway, I could spend hours there and it's always just a question of "Do I REALLY need that?". My number one antique store and I'm sure you'll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe take note of this place, which is visible from the 101 N every time we drive up the coast. We always say we'll catch it on the way back, but never do as we're either too late or too tired. However, this time we made a point to check it out and we're SO glad we did! It is a great antique mall with some very interesting things! It's not too big, but there are enough vendors to make you feel good about the trip. Prices were high on the whole... but there were certainly some deals to be had. Check it out for sure!
ps. They also sell some candy at the front which was great as a little reward (bribe) for our toddler for being...
