We live in northern California, but have visited Seed Ranger a few times since 2017. In that year I had their fish and chips, which I believe was Gardein "fish". Don't know if they still serve that brand or another, but it was good. The last few times I've been there, including today, I have ordered the "Chile Relleno Burrito" It is spectacular! Especially if you're into burritos. It's very large and has a passilla chili stuffed with vegan cheese, and a bit of smashed potato laced with soyrizo. Also contains seasoned rice, pinto beans, guacamole, pico, etc. Comes with fresh chips and homemade salsa. I think a pinch of shredded lettuce would be a good addition to the burrito, but it is delicious as is. Today my wife was not too hungry and had the basic "All American Hot Dog", and a side of fries. The dog was a good quality and the bun was good, lightly toasted. One side of fries is about three or four regular servings. By the time we got to where we are staying, the fries were cooled and not too crisp. I put them in a 350° oven for 5 minutes and they were refreshed nicely. They seem to be fresh cut fries with a nice hearty potato flavor. Good. The menu is HUGE. Breakfast all day, sushi, sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc...etc. The location is slightly odd, I've never seen the place crowded. It's kind of a behind a shopping center sort of food court area. The staff are nice folks. This place offers good vegan fun food and comfort food. I hope I will try other offerings on the menu the next time I'm in the area, but that...
Read moreWent here for the vegan / plant-based food! I'm a breakfast girl and it's so hard to find good vegan breakfast eats. But Sea Ranger doesn't disappoint.
I got tht breakfast burger and it was amazing. Next time I'll order the eggs & sausage or a breakfast sandwich or omelet. They all looked so good it was hard to pick just one!
We also got the patty melt and it was yummy. The sushi though. That's the real star. It's huge! And fresh and tasty... And still vegan!
I wish they had actual kid meals because my three kids would have loved it, but I got them each the Jr Ranger which is 2 fried fish sticks with chips (fries). And honestly the fish and chips were possibly my favorite part of the order.
When we go back (and we will definitely go back--My kids don't get any opportunities to eat vegan food at restaurants and they love this!) We will order more off the breakfast menu and try some of their desserts.
A few other things to know about Sea Ranger is the location. It's tucked back in a center and you can't see it from the street. I hope it makes it because it's in a pretty cool little spot. There's plenty of seating. Indoor and outdoor. The restroom situation is kind of a bummer. You need a key to get in but it gets...
Read moreUnbelievable food, generous portions, great prices, absolutely top-notch service. Even my husband, who is not vegan LOVED everything we tried here! We recently visited on our way to Santa Barbara and it was so good, we went on our way back, too! Seriously! I've been vegan for over 10 years, and I've tried lots of places all over the country -- the good, the bad, and the ugly. Seed Ranger is HEAVEN.
Food details: -On our first trip, we got the Crunchy Tiger Roll and the Cajun Chicken plate. The Tiger Roll was incredible. My husband could not believe it was vegan. The Cajun chicken was lovely as well! Perfectly spicy and the texture is to die for-- similar to KFC, but vegan!
On our second trip, we got the Chicken & Waffles plate which has the same chicken as the Cajun chicken plate, but without the spicy seasonings. It's salty and crunchy and pairs perfectly with the buttery waffle. So good!
I also HAVE to mention how helpful, kind, and sweet the staff was! Seriously, the service is unmatched here.
As a bonus, they sell vegan candy! Perfect for our road trip and hard to find usually!
GO- you won't regret it!! If we are ever back in this area, Seed Ranger will be getting my...
