Basin Sports — Local services in Vernal

We would not recommend them for anything. we ran into an emergency where my son had forgotten his football cleats in Tooele. We got the call from him when we were in Roosevelt on our way to the game in Vernal. We stopped at this so called store Basin Sports and bought football cleats for my son. We got them to him as the game was starting. He slipped them and went straight onto the field. After the game, he told us they were a size to small and they hurt his feet. The game ended at 9pm, so the store was closed and we headed back home. I called them and they said I needed to be in person to exchange them, I was like we are 4 hours away. I then emailed them and they said, I could send back and they would send the new ones out. I didn't realized that because he had used them one time, they couldn't exchange them due to their policy. The policy was explained after they had received the cleats back in the mail. I would never shop again with them. 0 stars if I could. These companies need to realize when things like this happen they can do better for their customers but they don't! Don't go buy...

What a great place to be, if you are not hunting, camping or fishing. I might change my home address to Basin Sports. I am at Basin Sports at least 2 or 3 times a week. Hunting, fishing and camping equiptment oh my. Its like I have traveled over the rainbow. Where else can you get in person what you cant get on the Internet. Why would I even look at the net, when I could get it in person. They know me by name. They know my guns and my other sports equpment.

I went to the big name sports stores in Salt Lake. It was an hour just to get to talk to a sales person. The trip took me five hours, the visit to the store was three hours. All I got was just a waste of time.

Basin sports gives me a call when they get what I need. They have it all. If you want it, they got it.

P.S.They have curteous and patient. sales people, Check out was fast. I had an issue with purchasing the wrong part for my rifle. The mistake was mine. When the clerk was checking the parts list later that day, he found my error, and called me, so we could fix the error. By the way they are a class...

I put two Taurus 9 mm’s on layaway in the middle of October 2021. When I put them on layaway I asked if they would give me some ammunition for free with each gun. The lady told me she would be happy to give me some ammunition for each gun . I have made several payments and each time I made a payment I reminded them about the free ammunition and they said as long as we had ammunition they had no problem giving me a couple boxes of ammunition. I went in today to pick up my guns ask for the free ammunition as promised and they said absolutely not we don’t give free ammunition. I explain to them that this was promised verbally on at least two times and possibly three as every time I made a layaway payment I reminded them to confirm unfortunately I did not record The conversation so it’s my word against theirs.
