Update 1/26/19: I brought my star rating up from 2 to 4 because I have had a couple of really great folks in the pharmacy help me through the inevitable monthly "we are all out of that prescription".
Shortages in medication, however, aren't the staff's fault. Frustrating as heck though. I can't remember his name, but a daytime male pharmacist that name I think starts with an "H" has always been kind and helpful, for the several years i have gone there.
Staff have been overall very helpful and do the best they can. That place is always busy, along with just about every other business around Verona. Sigh...I miss the small town days.
Previous review: I live nearby so i just accept the downfalls due to convenience. I agree with the pharmacy department lacking in customer service experience or even caring.
I also had a situation when a lady pharmacist insinuated I'm a drug seeker because I didn't have insurance at the time. That pharmacist was way out of line. Read moreHad a prescription for an antibiotic sent in by my doctor. He wanted me to get started on it immediately so I could get a couple of doses in today. Got a text from Walgreens saying that it was out of stock with no indication of when it would be available. Called to speak to a pharmacist and after holding for 10 minutes was told that they should get it in a day or two. No offer to call other Walgreens stores in the area. When I asked if they could call other stores I was told very rudely they could do that but not until after lunch sometime. I contacted Hometown Pharmacy and was told they have it in stock and would be happy to call Walgreens to have the prescription transferred over to them. I realize that the pharmacist can't necessarily help it when a medication is out of stock, but a failure to offer a better solution than to just wait and rudeness are inexcusable. Read moreIf you want to get your prescriptions smoothly and professionally, DO NOT come to this pharmacy. I had a pharmacy tech here charge my insurance for a prescription she said was too soon for me to have received. Couldn't figure out for weeks why I couldn't get my prescriptions. We realized it was this walgreens mistake, so we contacted them. They almost refused to check cameras of that day to even believe that I didn't get that prescription. They then also refused to look into the staff working that day. Then suddenly a week later they are admitting their mistake and tell me to just come get the items they have been claiming for WEEKS I already had. So at some point, they just decide to abandon the story theyve been telling....extremely shady and I will be driving out to Madison to get any prescriptions from now on as there is clearly some shady stuff going on behind these...
