I was excited when A Cardenas was opening near where I live. Although I pass four other major grocery stores, I value the service and family feeling I would receive from here. My self being an owner of a construction company, I would celebrate biweekly with my employees by making Carne asada for finishing projects. I understand that my employees are what make my company succeed. As I thought that Cardenas was as well. I talk to employees and especially from the meat department. In the past month es I notice there is some one new in charged, I believe his name is Hugo. As I see him demand things from his his employees, I got the feeling that he dictated the situation. Is one thing to be a boss and one thing to be a leader. But when I see him do minimal work physically and more work with his mouth I knew he was what was making the vibe different. I could see the change of mood from employees. The different time I have ask for him employees say he has left early. Speaking with Adam Salgado, CMO of Cardenas, I know this isn't what Cardenas wants from there supervisors and leaders. I strongly believe Mr. Hugo should be contacted by head of store not to fire because we all have families to feed but rather consult with him and to get feedback from the real employees that make this store run. The way he acts and never being there at the time of his schedule should be made aware of.this tolerance will become a domino effect with the rest of the staff if not atoI know losing one client my not be breaking the bank but I didn't spend my hard earned money weekly here and I hope people reading this thinks what to expect when they go to this store if nothing...
Read moreBad review is mainly for the bakery. Ordered the mango glaze cake. I saw the display it looked great. I needed a small size a they said they could do bar. Now the time of pick up following day. The cake is presented to me the first time and it’s well… looking like it the writing blotchy and there’s some uncovered tiny sections, the mangos off center/ and as we are talking about how they can’t put a cover cause the chocolate molds… the one just continued to slowly collapse and break. Because of no cover I had to come back later and was told that they will use the time to fix the cake. I said I will pick up day of party following day.
Here are the current photos straight from pickup at bakery counter. The young lady apologized to me stating she asked them to fix it and they obviously didn’t. The second chocolate also broke by time we reached the store exit.
I’m so upset by this but couldn’t help but laugh because it is just like the horrible baking shows that only show cake fails. No resolve, no apology other than from young girl, no fix or attempt to fix.
Updating from cake cutting. This was ordered as a MANGO GLAZE CHEESECAKE and when cut into it’s a Plain vanilla cake with mango glaze. Added the photo of what I pointed to an stated this is what I wanted which is on their display case and photo of proof of what was given

Read moreToday i had the displeasure of placing the door dash order with the cardenas kitchen. I ordered a Birria Plate. When the order was given to me, the birria was minescule and so poorly prepared, the cups that were used for the Horchata i ordered were in poor condition, i had to make the trip to return it. The manager remade the order but the comments that were made in Spanish were atrocious. The Manager, along with her kitchen staff assumed i couldn't speak spanish and the lady that prepared the plate remarked that i had ate the majority of the contents in the plate and tried to return the scraps. Making that rude assumption on my physical appearance. When i replied to her comment in spanish, she lied to my face and said that i misunderstood her. i was only standing a few feet away from her. I speak and understand perfect spanish. Its incredibly disturbing how these women think its okay to speak about their customers in such a manner. The fact that she found it okay to make such a remark in front of the kitchen manager says a lot about the standard in customer service and work ethic the manager has and this Cardenas Market is comfortable with providing its customers. I wouldn't recommend anyone to shop or order food from this establishment at this particular location. They're very comfortable with using derogatory dialogue and methods to evade accountability when they don't feel like providing basic...
