Update Did not think things could get worse but they have. The GM, who you will see reached out below has also been in contact with our family. While Iâll give her credit for being kind and apologetic I would note that she has continued to try to manipulate the situation so that the plots would remain at Desert view. Offering us dates that are all the sudden available sooner as well as sharing false information that the location we want to transfer to is a Jewish cemetery and will not offer a double stacked plot. The cemetery has a consecrated Jewish portion but is not fully Jewish. Oh and you guessed it, they do offer double stacked plots. Let me also share the GM only got involved after a âsales managerâ initially said they would not transfer the plots. Let me be clear, this is not legal. Also, when a family is grieving you think the best thing to do is be difficult and prolong the process?! We had to get managers involved at a corporate level. Which is exhausting. And finally we are just going to purchase new plots and sell the ones my parents had to avoid dealing with this nightmare further. I cannot stress enough, run as fast as you can from this place. They are dishonest and cruel . Sorry Anette, we wonât be reaching out to you further. You can be a as kind as can be but the fact remains that your staff is a reflection of the way you run this business and weâve no interest in dealing further with this place.
Absolutely awful experience. These people are completely useless and unhelpful. Our father passed away unexpectedly and they had plots and services pre paid for. We arrived to set up services today and were met with the most uncaring, inadequate staff. First they told us that they didn't have "appointments" for us to even talk to anyone about services until Friday!! You mean you don't have a human that can take an hour to speak to our family that just experienced this loss? And then we are told the soonest we could have services is 3-4 weeks out ?!? Half of us live out of state and this is all pre paid and you have the audacity to say we will need to wait a month. We asked if they could help tell us with other properties that might be available, the bored and emotionless kid helping us (cant remember his name) has the nerve to say oh you can go to this website and look up other properties and call them. Excuse me? What have we paid for? But you know it's fine. We did the work to call another property and they were so kind and could not help us enough. We are transferring our plots from this desert wasteland to a property that is nicer and can help us get services in the next week. Also Ps the other properties that we called all offered to call desert view and try to figure out why they had such a back log and were unable to help us. They also shared that the sales manager at Desert View could have done more to help us at their discretion. So it truly is about lazy, unhelpful and unprofessional employees. Do not waste your money or time. Take your loved one and go to elsewhere. This place takes your money and then does...

I got none of that. Oscar tried very hard to up sell services and junk. Costume jewelry with ashes in it, really?
Estella did the same for the cemetery stuff. My aunt had pre-purchased her plot in 1998 and they complained TO ME about how little she paid back then. They found a way to charge over $7500 none the less. For instance, the box that she was placed in to travel from the storage cooler to the crematorium. The only people who will ever see it are the employees of the mortuary and that box goes in the furnace to be burned up. WHY do they start at over $900 and come down to $125 then make you feel like a cheapskate for being practical about it? Exactly the same game on the urn and vault. Both of which will never be seen by anyone but their employees. But they are not inexpensive.
Once they have the money, don't plan on any Professionalism or attention to detail. They don't even return emails or phone calls. When you call them, they are always "in with a family."
Estella left me a voice mail that she needed some input from me. I called her back every couple days for a week before she would speak to me. She wanted to tell me that she had a proof of the marker ready and would email me Docusign documents for approval. She didn't and I had to call her back several times to get that proof. That took another week. I didn't like the proof and wanted to make a small change to wording. I emailed her and got no response. Calling every day for a week did not yield a call back from Estella until I started asking for a manager. I never got a call from a manager. When asked why she won't return my calls for three weeks, she claims that it's only been a week because she "sent this proof just last week." Yeah but there was two weeks of nonsense before that too.
Seven weeks to get death certificates. That slowed the sale of a home, opening of a bank account, etc. Yes, San Bernardino County was slow, that's expected. What wasn't expected was that Oscar would wait 20 days to file the application.
My advise is to find somewhere else to put your loved one. You don't need this frustration on top...
Read moreWe would like to thank everyone at Desert View for exceptional team work and making every step of the way with the arrangements of our daughterâs services stress free. From the step by step transportation details, personal viewing, always there to answer questions and never feeling pressured. I would also like to give a special thank you to Elias Bonaducci for his professionalism, well spoken, great customer service. Eliasâs genuine personality and knowledge in the industry is why he is excellent at what he does. I would definitely recommend and call Elias for future services. ^^^I do want to add that i was not pleased with the phone call i received from Jay the manager shortly after my daughter was buried. Flowers were placed by a loved one in the dirt because there was not a vase. There are supposed to be pots at the headstone but have not been provided due to being ordered. Jay asked me to remove flowers because planting a rose bush was not allowed ( 2 long stem roses) He also mentioned that he would look into a vase being provided until the pots were provided. I had my father remove the flowers that were NOT planted in the grass area. Not once since the call did i have a follow up call from Jay about the flowers being removed or the vase being provided. This call really made me upset enough to question if the family and I would be harassed about anything we were going to be able to place at my daughterâs burial site. I waited until the person I did my arrangements with was back from vacation to get my questions and...
