Cracker Barrel Old Country Store — Restaurant in Victorville

This place is still under construction. Very little framing has gone up (as of Sept 2017). It's "scheduled" to open in Feb of 2018. Any review of the Cracker Barrel at this location is null until that time. After it opens, I'll make a much anticipated visit and update my post.

Feb 5, 2018, they opened right on time! 6:00 am! Line was wrapped around the "front porch" and out into the parking lot. No, I wasn't there. Drove by on the way to work. Hoping it's as good as all the other Cracker Barrel's that I've visited. Will find out soon and update my post.

Finally made that much anticipated visit this morning! Arrived shortly before opening. About 25-30 people in front of me in line. Sat down straight away. Yes, just as good as all the other Cracker Barrel’s I’ve been to. Service was fantastic! Food was a little on the cool side, but not bad. Not cold. Coffee was refilled constantly as well as the waters on our table. Looking forward to the next visit.

October, 2018. Went for breakfast. Got the Grandma's Sampler. They used to have this as a "secret menu" item. Now, it's on the menu full time. Great meal! Just be prepared to spend the $$. The Sampler is about $10-$11, plus drink (I got Iced Tea), you're looking at about $14-$15 plus tip. Sure was tasty. Service was fantastic!

October, 2019. Have been a patron of this establishment many times since they've opened. Sometimes just to browse through the store, sometimes to eat. It's a great place! I would recommend Cracker Barrel to everyone!

February 2020. Returned for breakfast with the wife. Had the Grandma's sampler again, because it's that good! Both of us had one! Enjoyed the service and the food! It was cooked to order and the service was on point! Great experience! Still enjoy this place!

Dec 2020, now that the pandemic is in full swing, their seating is strictly outdoor only. But they do their best of a bad situation and have a great seating location on their "Front Porch". You get the same Cracker Barrel experience and the feel of a good ol' down home front porch meal! Went to eat ordered appetizer (cheese balls with breading...tiny serving for almost 8$ eyeroll).came out...then 4 corn muffins came out..(not with meal like supposed to) i orderd shrimp meal came with 2 sides my bf ordered the beef campfire meal...2 drinks....was told it would be about 17m we were like no problem 25 minutes later my order came out....(hot plate was not hot) paper on the hot o the plates and in basket were all crappy looking as well like put some honor into your job and try to make the food look presentable. See in the pics..waiter told my bf that his meal was going to be about 15 20m longer because they were out?.now making a new batch? (Kitchen manager?)Ok we were like np..disapointed my food will be eaten by the time his came out. 10m later brought out his baked potato. Which was ordered extra to go with his meal.... 30m later...waiter kept saying it'll be out soon...finally a lady with key card walked by told her the situation she was the manager who just got there at 3 this was like 330...she went to check she said we were told 50m not 15...I said he said 15 20 my bf said nvm forget it...she adjusted our tab for his drink and his baked potato....can't even give us credit for the app or anything??.. Over 1 hour there and I paid over 30 for 1 drink 1 cheese balls app which was an awful waste of money. And my meal which the shrimp was heavily salted the broccoli (kid size serving)was luke warm..mac n cheese also kid size serving and I was not impressed...1 drink and the potato...really? That's it...for wasting all our time?? 100x buyers remorse....I'll never go there again...that was terrible and to top it all off my meal wasn't even anything decent. Been going to Cracker Barrel for years now. We love their meatloaf, Mac and cheese, hasbrown casserole, chicken and dumplings, and any of their breakfast items. Their side salad is a meal on its own. Now the cons, I know I know how can they have cons right. Chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken were salty, and the the chicken fried steak was soggy from the gravy. I was excited to get their $6 take out meal, I thought what a great deal, until I saw the portion given. My mom loves this place but I think we may start going to a ma and pa restaurants.

Update 09/22/24 Came here again for dinner with mom 3 days ago after dinner rush hour. The place was almost empty, with only a few people dining in. Our greeter was friendly and tried her best to accommodate our aging mom on a walker. We placed our order, and within minutes the server brought a plate of biscuits and cornbread. It's odd because they normally serve it along with dinner but she served them earlier this time. Biscuits were good as always, but the cornbread was dry and hard as a rock. The rest of the food came quite a bit longer as if they were short staff in the kitchen. My husband ordered the burger dinner smothered with onion, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. Mom ordered meatloaf. I ordered their trout with broccoli and hashbrown casserole. Everything came out hot except my hashbrown casserole, it was lukewarm and sad looking as if it's been sitting all day on the counter. My husband told me to ask them to warm it up, but I hate sending food back. As far as the rest of the meal, everything taste good. A little bit saltier for me, but it's better than no flavor.
