Sweet Frog review/complaint

My family and I have visited this particular Sweet Frog location on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, yesterday we were told by Gladys, the manager of the franchise owned location, that we could not use a Groupon that recently expired. We were told that they have been reopened for several months and would only take a Groupon that expired during March, April or May. I explained to the staff member that I did not know when Sweet Frog reopened. That with the Governor’s rules regarding businesses being closed it has been difficult to know which businesses and restaurants are allowed to operate. I only found out that Sweet Frog had reopened by driving by and seeing people inside. The outside still appeared empty. The chairs were stacked next to their tables. This has been a very difficult time for everyone. Every other week it seems like stores are open and then closing. It’s difficult to keep up with. It’s truly sad that while stores like Walmart and other major chains are not charging customers for plastic bags that this Sweet Frog location wants to split hairs about an expired Groupon, during this pandemic. It’s also a shame that while companies are closing and wanting consumers to buy products, and restaurant workers are wanting consumers to purchase food, that this establishment would choose not to honor the Groupon, after I have been a long standing customer. It’s disappointing and tells me that customer retention is not a priority for them. A $10 Groupon vs more in sales from one family over a year. They chose to reject the former. My lesson learned...

Ahhhhhh. It was supposed to be a good time. My Son has been asking for frozen yogurt for a while but there are no places within 70 miles. We had an errand to run in Victorville so I figured I would surprise my Son.

We walk in 08/02/2023 at 8:00pm and it is packed and 60% of the clientele look a bit shady but I can look past that. Second, the floor is filthy as are a good amount of the tables, once again I can look past that. My Wife figures there must be a sale going on and asks a worker (receipt says Eredany she also rang us up) if there was a sale. The worker stated yes, medium cups no limit are $6.00 each. Great we put down our big cups and get the medium cups. By the time we get to her at the register she asks of we are members. I state we have never been here. She said well you can put your email in the tablet and you will get notifications and be a member. I thought to myself OK great! She rings us up, 3 cups = $32.16. She then tells us we cant become members and get the discount; we need to be members for a while. She can tell I am feeling a bit hustled after what she told us before but I remain nice and respectful. She then states she can do nothing (Riiiiiight). I made a decision to leave a bad review and never go back to a Sweet...

Went there on July 16th. Very hot afternoon, the air-conditioning was just right ... very busy location! First time trying it, and some flavors were not available. (Not sure if that is a regular occurrence), but it has been very hot ... one person on staff, she was doing her best to get through the line... she obviously didn't have enough time to clean the tables between customers ... we cleaned the table and chairs, which were understandably messy as a lady with 3 little ones had just vacated the table. On busy days, maybe there should be more than one person on staff, but the person working did a great job getting through the line that never seemed to shorten. Between customers, she rushed through restocking the toppings.

Flavors were good, and the topping selection was decent.
