I drive a 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth. Very fun little car with specific needs. These cars can't really be brought to a Mavis or a Pep Boys where an unsophisticated mechanic tries his hand at a fine Italian Automobile. Doni of New Jersey Speed Shop is the very definition of an expert in his field of Fiat’s. He was able to diagnose and repair my Fiat perfectly.

What he did:

-Full axle rebuild (mine were failing and Doni can rebuild them vs the MUCH MUCH more expensive option of simply buying a new one).

-Transmission flush (you need to do this more often than you think especially if you drive spirited)

-Motor, trans, torque arm mount's from Deyeme Racing (Factory Abarth Motor Mounts are trash and rip apart, mine were upgraded to a much stronger variant which promotes spirited driving and allows much better traction and shifting)

-Fixed peeling side skirts (Another known Abarth issue)

-Vertical Chassis Braces (strengthens the chassis up front to promote handling and reduce chassis flex)

-Neuspeed torsion bar (An aftermarket rear Torsion bar that dramatically increases Turn-In Response by forcing the rear tires to remain flat in a corner)

-Intercooler upgrade- I had a NGEN intercooler without a Lower IC pipe so Doni fabricated me one. This upgrades the terrible twin intercooler design by removing the mess of length hoses that are prone to leaks and boost loss. Doni fit it perfectly and allows for a dramatically cooler intake charge from the turbo while reducing piping length.

-Fixed nonfunctioning Fog Lights

-Oil change

These cars require a specific hand and understanding which Doni possesses. He is able to rebuild, repair, replace, and upgrade anything in these cars and will know what will need to be repaired based upon miles and previous maintenance.

Doni did a great job on a bunch of work for my 2012 Fiat Abarth 500. He did a timing belt, water pump, multiair filter, CV axles, control arms, fluid flush, oil change, spark plugs, and overall general maintenance. He also installed lowering springs for me.

His work was fast, reasonably priced, and he demonstrated his knowledge as THE person to go to with your Fiat or Alfa. His communication was excellent as well, something that other shops often don’t get right.
