FRESH DONUT — Restaurant in Violet Township

I had a taste for breakfast for lunch so I decided to try this place out for the first time. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and donuts but was astonished to see that all the breakfast sandwiches made that morning were sitting out in a display case all day!!! The meat was dried out & dark (almost black)! They were not kept in a refrigerated display case. Just sitting out all day!!!! The donuts all looked like a child make them. Looked NOTHING like the pictures (& I understand most don’t) but these were just way off and everything looked so DRY!!!!! I didn’t trust eating that breakfast sandwich that had meat and eggs just sitting out ALL DAY!!!! I got a refund and left! So, I can’t review the taste aspect but I will not ever go here again!!!! UPDATE: I see the owner responded but I am a little confused by the response of knowing who I am and it being a conflict of interest. 1) I have no idea who the owners are. 2) I am a customer trying out my local donut shop for the first time. Is it a conflict because I placed my order through doordash or because I got a refund (which I stated). Or are you just saying that to make other customers reading the review dismiss my review. I normally don’t even write reviews so I am just VERY CONFUSED by the owners comment! For you to say you know who I am…..how? Unless you were the one who served me. Which I thought you were nice just not happy with the food. I still don’t know how this is a conflict of interest. I ordered and paid for donuts a day ahead and scheduled a pickup time for the next morning. When I arrived they hadn't pulled my donuts and boxed them yet so they were out of some of the donuts that I ordered. The whole point of ordering them ahead of time is so they DON'T run out of what I want. I asked why they hadn't pulled and boxed my donuts that morning when they texted me that they had received my order and that it would be ready at 9:30? They said the donuts wouldn't be fresh and that they had customers in the store to take care of. I assume that all of the donuts were made that day so that would be fresh enough and as I had already paid for my donuts I would think that would take priority over a new customer in the store who hadn't paid yet. In fact, the donuts that they were out of were bought by the person BEHIND me in line due to the inefficient boxing. That being said, the glazed donuts were okay, but the apple fritters were over cooked and didn't have enough apple so overall not worth it in my opinion. I will stick with Donut World in Lancaster if I want...
