A customer purchased a figure from this store. Within a 24/48 hour time frame the customer was not able to enjoy the figure do to qc errors. When purchasing something the customer should be able to return rather that is having a store credit or simply swapping out for the same price in value. But, yet it was not that simple. Instead the owner went to bash the customer. Trying to say the customer broke the toy and not allowing to be shown in fact the area broken was an manufacturing error. This particular customer has shopped at this store for quite some time. Not only that brought this store business. The customer even called the store speaking with the owner instead the owner was RUDE and stating things that was simply not true. If you're looking to purchase figures I would not purchase from this store. There are always issues that occur due to manufacturing errors and you should be able to return an item you paid your hard earn money on. You should not be insulted with lies and down right unprofessionalism. There are other GREAT local businesses to shop from Cool Stuff, Trilogy, Yestertoys, Comic King, and Toymeister check these stores out where you can receive professionalism and have a great rapport
Update: Having to return something once or twice isn't a repeated issue. Just by this response, it still shows how unprofessional you are. From the conversation on the phone that was had. The fact that you constantly cut the customer off, the fact that you were speaking very rudely, the fact that a customer who has spent $100s (sent you business) was treated very poorly. You should do better as an owner and not try to debate and save face under this review. The fact still stands...
Read moreHeads up everyone! Never EVER go to Bella Books, in Kemps River shopping center. The owner is an absolute JERK! I'm not at all surprised to see other people's reviews saying that their customer service is terrible. I went in there for the first time ever today and simply asked the clerk if they would be willing to price match on some Funko Pops that other retailers were selling for less. The guy said no and got a really snippy attitude with me saying, "if you don't like our prices, there are plenty of other places you can shop." I replied, "I'm aware there are other places, but I wanted to support your small business and just wanted to see if you'd price match. I'm STILL considering buying this from you anyway, but you're kind of making me wanna change my mind." The clerk said, "if you wanna support small businesses, then pay the prices they charge. If you don't want to pay my prices, then you can get out."
As you can imagine, I was like, "well alright then, F you too dude!" To the owner, I'd suggest you work on your bedside manner, because if this is how you treat new customers, that could potentially become repeat customers, for asking a simple question, you will not be in business for very mmuch longer.
I swear man, some people are just jerks for no damn reason. But yeah, steer clear of that place guys. They do not...
Read morePersonally, I think that a store called "[X] books, comics, and toys" should at minimum sell more than one or two of those three categories of items.
Two shelves of TPBs and one or two omnibus collections is not "comics." ZERO single issues on the shelf is not "comics." An IKEA dorm shelf of Manga up front is not comics.
Similarly, TPBs are not "books." Books are books. This store sells zero books (literally none) that are not TPBs and Manga (see above).
Finally, 400 linear feet of Funkopop shelves is not "toys." Toys are things you can buy for a child, or an adult who likes toys, I suppose.
This is not a bookstore, a comics store, or a toy store. This is an MCU merchandise hut. And that's fine. Some of us olds remember when some mom and pop stores just did Beanie Babies for a hot second. Of course, those stores all went out of business, but that's none of my business.
Anyhow--if you're gonna sell nothing but hard plastic beanie babies of Dr. Who characters and Hello Kitty backpacks, maybe call your store something else?
Also, the folks who mention in the other reviews that service sucks here are correct. But how much service do you need to buy a low quality three inch PVC figurine of Malibu Comics'...
