Park Lane Tavern is located in the Kempsriver Crossing Shopping Center. The shopping center is near the corner of Indian River Rd. and Fordham Dr. We entered the shopping center from Fordham Dr. There is a traffic light to get in and out of there as well. I've visited this place twice so far, with the first visit being on February 9, 2020 during Virginia Beach Restaurant Week and then came back again on February 16, 2020 for their Sunday Burger, Fries and a Beer for $10 promotion.
On this first visit, we came in after checking out places online for the 2020 Virginia Beach Restaurant Week, which ran from February 3-9. We got there around 5:45 pm that evening, and it was busy, but not overly busy. We were immediately seated and then within a moment or so, our server came by and said she would be back in a few moments after delivering another order. After a few moments, our server Tanna was at our table introducing herself and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered our drinks (non-alcoholic) and when she came back with them, we were ready to order.
Since this was Restaurant Week, that menu included an appetizer, entree, and dessert from that special menu. For the appetizer, we both got our own Bavarian Pretzels. For the entree, I went with the Makers Mark Bourbon Chicken, but changing out asparagus for green beans. My mom went with the London Broil. In a short time after placing our order, the Bavarian Pretzels came to the table. The Bavarian Pretzels were extremely good and soft. Both the warm cheese dip and Guinness mustard dips were good too that went with them. About 10-15 minutes after taking time to have these great pretzels, the entrees came to the table. The portion sizes were pretty big too. The Bourbon Chicken was really good and the chicken was very tender too. The green beans were also great. My mom said her London Broil was really good too, and it was very tender as well. The final course would be the dessert, but we would bring that home to have a bit later. We both got the Guinness Brownie Sundae, which was good too.
Tanna was great throughout the process. Even though it was busy, she was on the ball the entire time. During that time, we also got a visit from the manager. When he found out it was our first time here, he gave us a coupon card for $5 off on a future visit. All in all, this was a great first visit here.
Fast forward one week. We came back a week later to try out their Sunday special, which is their Burger, Fries, and a Beer for $10. That was actually not a bad deal. When we came in, we asked if Tanna was there, and she was, so we were seated in her section again. She was quick to come to the table and she remembered us from the week before, which was nice. Since we knew what we were getting before coming in, it was pretty easy. The only part I asked about were the beers, since I don't normally drink alcohol. I ended up going with the Hoegaarden Wit Ale. The beers came out pretty quickly after ordering, and the burger and fries came out maybe 10 minutes after that. It was a good pace overall for the meal.
Overall, we've had some great experiences both times visiting this place. I plan to come back here again in the future once dine in service resumes after the pandemic. The portion sizes of the food were big and overall prices are reasonable for what we got in both visits. With having great service and great food experiences, I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area and looking for a good sit down...

1/11/24 - Went with family on Thursday and found they had $5 martini's. We had to wait 35 minutes for a table which wasn't terrible considering how busy it was. We went around 6:30pm. Our servicer was great and the food was also great.
1/2/2024 - I finally got the chance to dine in yesterday. Our server Alexis, was amazing. Super nice, gave recommendations, checked in periodically but not overwhelming, overall amazing service. I tried something different from my usual order and got the salmon. It was nice and refreshing but a little bland on the flavor and dry. It was very light if you are looking for that. The potatoes and green beans were good. My husband got the pepper steak and it was super juicy. It was a little heavy on the pepper but you can easily remove it on the top if needed. I didn't mind the pepper though. Our friends got the London broil and beef wellington, from the bite I got to taste from both were good. Wellington reminded me of pot pie. Their pretzels are the best though. I highly suggest getting those for an appetizer. We also got the desserts and all 3 of them were sooo good. Also it wasn't as busy as I have seen it and had no wait.
3/19/23 - I haven't dined in but I did order for take out. When calling the voicemail says to call back if you are trying to do take out. I had to call ten times and when they picked up I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on. My fiance went to the restaurant to order the food in person. When getting our food it was pretty delicious. We got an appetizer of pretzels sticks. Surprisingly wasn't dry. I ordered the Shepherds pie which was good but some how the mash potatoes tasted a bit dry. I also got the soup of the day which looked to be some rice soup. Everyone else said their food was really good too. Would like to try to dine in soon. My fiance said when he went to get the food it wasn't busy at all, so I don't understand what the issue was with answering the phone and taking orders. But other than that the food was good. He also said they were really nice when ordering and getting the food. He got a drink...
