I was in the market for some dressers and I found this merchant through Offer Up. They listed a 5pc bedroom set for $899. When asked about the purchase for just dressers, they offered $799?? and stood firm on their price.
The CSR I chatted with came off rude and condescending and so when I advised I will be posting this, their comment was "As for the bad reviews, we're pretty highly rated.". Nice, right? I will never do business with such arrogant folks.
The (s) in dressers was clearly a typo as that unit was only 5 pieces. So for your person to come back and say that the ONE piece is $799 when all 5 together is $899 is ridiculous.
Note it wasn’t until my mention of giving you a negative review that I received an actual and true breakdown. Lo and behold the $799 dresser is now $379 w/mirror… which is what my initial inquiry was.
These are the facts as I have them: Fact 1: You will not ever receive a cent of my hard earned money. I find your demeanor aloof, unprofessional, and arrogant. Fact 2: It is clear you are nothing like Wendy’s social media team. They are comical. You are not. Fact 3: I’m sure there are other customers who will give you a chance. I will not. Fact 4: There are most certainly other merchants with far better Customer Service who I WILL give a chance.
This in turn is where we part ways.
So because you all purposefully gave the wrong information (price) to extort a larger profit, and I called you out on it, I'm a Karen? lol
Do you understand the impact of what a true Karen has on society in general versus the interactions that we've had, in which you gave incorrect information and the double downed on what you said.
Let's break it down. Dressers with the plural is still only $758 ($379 x2), and so it would still not add up to the $799 that was (mis) quoted.
A good business would take some type of ownership. A great business would find a way to exceed its customers expectation. You point fingers and name-call.
For whatever the rest of your day entails, my hope is that it's a good one. In your future business pursuits, I hope that you can learn from this interaction.

Read more1st time here and the last time too! Three men each greeted me as I was walking in. Two men were very kind and answered my questions as well as allowing me to use their tape measure. I was asking about a shelf that had a price tag of $19.99 and the one I saw on Facebook Marketplace that was listed as $14. One chatted with the owner and she seemed bothered by my presence. Very loudly she said a shelf that big wouldn't be $14. I simply said the one in the picture looked like the one that was priced $14.99 although I was told the one in the picture was sold. With the sticker for the shelf I chose instead that was marked $19.99, it became $25. With spider sacs, webs and clearly dirty, I asked how do I clean it? Rudely her response was "it's plastic" and " its dirty because it was in a warehouse " I didn't want to put it in my car with the spiders on it but Jerry (I believe his name was) carried it out to my car for me. In my opinion, the owner is rude, changes prices as she chooses, & could care less about customers. A simple paper towel to wipe off the shelf before going in my car would've been great but instead she spoke in a way to make me sound stupid for asking how to clean plastic.
