First, the positive. There is a fairly good selection of obsolete electronic equipment, if that's your forte'. Prices are reasonable.
However
This place has arguably the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a store since I reached adulthood on the '70s. At least in the U.S.A.
My experience here today was such that I resolved never to set foot in there again.
This afternoon I purchased a stereo amplifier which was rather heavy, so I obtained a cart and proceeded to the register. The cashiers were delightful. The trouble arose when I was checking out. Firstly, the manager needed to be called over two separate times in order to complete my checkout. First to verify the tag, which was reasonable, and then a second time to fix an unexplainable glitch in the register. No eye contact, no explanation, no apology. Rude, but also not worth remarking on. Then, as I was returning my cart to the store a very young employee approached me and very curtly, informed me that carts weren't to be removed from the store and I was expected to abide by the rules.(paraphrasing). I responded by saying that I expected decent customer service and that's life. He replied (again paraphrasing) that I if I couldn't follow the rules, I wasn't welcome to return. To make matters worse, when I suggested to the on-duty manager that his employee clearly needed some remedial training; Whereupon the manager commenced to smirk and speak to me in an extremely condescending and insincere fashion. I explained that he himself could use some training, resulting in an even more even more offensive tone. At this point I left the store.
Needless to say that I don't recommend it. Particularly when there are so many thrift stores nearby. I'll certainly never return.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would go out of my way and truly enjoyed shopping at this establishment years ago. All was well, and prices were fair until recently. I couldn't believe to see how high prices were on ripped, broken, missing pieces and well loved items. Not only that but there's a Cashier (woman) in this establishment that will rip people off. How? Well, of course by overcharging the customer if they are not paying attention. I caught her when i was checking out and let her know immediately of the mistake she made. She denied it completely and her demeanor changed. Alll of a "sudden" she spoke no English and chose not to understand what I was telling her. I did asked for a Supervisor, but to no avail. I asked her to recount my items per price on screen. She counted the items ( I was surprised this time she understood me all of a sudden ), but apparently couldn't do anything about checking it on the screen. Well she came to terms that she wouldn't charge me for the rest of the items because she had already overcharged me. It's sad to know that aside items ( depending what youre seeking )been overpriced they hire dishonest people. This was NO Accident, so please stay alert and be aware of what you are charged...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm not sure why people are so mad. But I love this place. I got a lot of schools shopping done for my son for under 25 bucks-boots, jacket, 3 jeans, 7 shirts, and a pair of shorts. You gotta look! Some full price stuff is just that. But I go for the deals! Got a pair of Nike boots for my son for 2.50 and Tommy Hilfiger jeans for 75 cents. You can't beat it.
Yes they likely cycle through tags every now and again. They do need to move product so it may be they are taking to be further donated, evaluated, etc.
It's a business. I love that my family can find quality here for a steal! Almost every time I come in, I'm finding great deals. I thank the people and families that donate here. I may not buy every time day, but dang I found a desk for less than 5 bucks a few weeks ago.
These guys keep the store tidy and...
