The Meltdown — Local services in Virginia Beach

Let me start by saying I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. The Meltdown is easily one of the most vile, disrespectful excuses for a restaurant I’ve ever had the displeasure of ordering from.

First off, the brisket was so overcooked and tough I thought I was chewing on a leather sandal. I legit questioned if I was eating food or prepping for Naked and Afraid. And the bread? Not grilled. Not even toasted. It was stale. Like gas station day-old stale.

The fries? Straight cardboard vibes. No flavor, no crunch, just vibes from a recycled Amazon box.

Now onto the “Go Crazy” chicken and bacon sandwich… They should rename it the Go Get a Refund sandwich. The bacon looked old and sad—like it was cooked last week and left out to dry next to the lost fries from a previous order.

But here’s the real kicker: My lady bit into the sandwich and three times hit a soft spot in the bread that crunched like sand or bugs. THREE. TIMES. I watched her stop mid-bite like she just caught a mouthful of beach grit. We were mortified.

And to top it off—because apparently serving prison tray meals wasn't enough—they didn’t even send her seasonal fruit. Like, how do you mess up fruit?

I don’t care if you’re starving, broke, or curious—don’t do it. You’re better off eating a mystery sandwich from under your car seat. At least then you’ll know what...

Was given the completely wrong order to go. I ordered the combo and it was missing the fries ( ok I could cut back) but the sandwich I ordered was eggs sausage bacon eggs cheese. I got a chunk of beef on one side and the other was just sautéed onions nothing else. My drink was an large O.J. and when I recieved it it felt light but was in a rush. Had to open the lid(double lid) and WOW it was just under half full. For a 8$ or 10$ fast food meal I'd e pect this but for a 30 40 min pre-order that took 1hr 50min to recieve for $22.84 I'd expect to get one thing right. You are Dennys Stay under Dennys Name stop misleading people with restaurants inside restaurants especially if your gonna screw up orders this bad. Topper is the recipt wasn't even my recipt it was for a dine in order...

While I understand that working late at night is not ideal, if you accept a position in which you work late nights I expect you to at least do the bare minimum of your job. My food was not prepared, entire ingredients were left off the entrees, and the "Treatin' Myself Melt," which is supposed to feature cheesecake and strawberries between two slices of pound cake, wasn't even prepared! The cheesecake, strawberries, and pound cake were all shoved into separate containers! As if that weren't bad enough, the strawberries were rotten! There's a reason I don't order from Denny's late at night. Had I known "The Meltdown" was a part of the same chain, I NEVER would've ordered from them....
