Cellman's — Local services in Voorhees Township

My daughter dropped a sewing machine on her phone. I brought it to Cellman’s last Wednesday to have the back glass and the front screen replaced. I paid $330.00. I went in the following day to pick it up & asked if the work was guaranteed. The man told me to try the phone. Everything seemed to be in working order. I guess it was my fault that I didn’t ask if it was guaranteed to work in the long run, because just three days later problems started. By Saturday my daughter said that the screen was not responding properly. She had to tap it hard multiple times for it to wake or complete a task. On Monday she accidentally dropped the phone on the carpet and the whole right side of the screen became yellow with black lines, and it was completely unresponsive. I called on Tuesday morning to ask them why this would occur. She’s had the phone for three years, dropped it on concrete, asphalt, tile, wood, and her screen never had an issue until she dropped a sewing machine on it. I couldn’t understand why dropping a phone on carpet would cause a phone to completely glitch out. They told me to bring it back in and they would replace the screen, because maybe it was faulty. I dropped it there today and was told by one gentlemen that they would replace the screen. Later, another man, maybe the owner, called me and told me that I would be charged $130 for parts to replace the screen because the interior of the screen was cracked. Nothing visible to the eye, only if you turn the phone in a certain way, could you see these interior cracks. I asked him how that could occur from just dropping it on carpet and he then proceeded to tell me that the aftermarket phone screens are basically subpar and very fragile. That would’ve been great to know before I put the money out to fix it!!!! That is not good buisness. You should always be upfront and honest with your customers, even if it’s going to loose you a sale. I understand that he is in the business of trying to make himself money, but in the end I feel like I got ripped off. I now have a phone that I just paid $330 to fix which is completely unusable!!!! I can’t even trade it in! I can not put out more money to fix the screen that’s not guaranteed. Moral of the story…. I wasted $330 to fix this phone because I was not told that it wouldn’t hold up in the long run & be too fragile for a teen to use. To say I am dissatisfied would be an extreme understatement. I do NOT recommend this business to anyone, because they care more about lining their pockets then...

Suleman is a fantastic man who is an absolute wizard at phone repairs. But most importantly, he is a man of integrity.

At little while back, he fixed a cracked screen on my iPhone 2020 SE in about ten minutes for only $60. Very impressive at a reasonable price.

But what really impressed me was what he did on a subsequent visit. I eventually broke the 2020 screen again, but this time the phone was almost completely inoperable. I THOUGHT I’d backed it up on my Mac, so I decided to purchase the 2022 model and just restore the data from the backup. To my dismay, I actually didn’t back it up! Three years worth of data was gone!

So the only hope to transfer my data was if he could somehow take the broken 2020 and transfer it to the 2022 model. Not only was he able to do this, and despite it taking nearly two hours to go through the painstaking process of completing the transfer, but he didn't even charge me!! I was floored.

Suleman is a HIGHLY skilled man with the UTMOST integrity. Most business owners care more about making money than they do helping people (which is perfectly understandable - you can’t pay your bills with “niceness”). But Suleman is the rare breed that cares more about helping people than making the easy buck.

Amazing service the moment I walked into the door. Was there to have my son's cracked iPhone screen repaired. Found this business through Facebook and was honestly a bit apprehensive about what my experience would be like. So pleased to be in such a warm, welcoming, friendly environment. I was told by the owner the repair would take 10 minutes...that's crazy!! He was right... 10 minutes and all finished..my son was happy, new screen, perfect phone and even left with a new phone case for him as the selection was great and perfectly priced.
