Found this by chance a week ago. Came on Saturday, loved the food, came back on Sunday and loved the food again. And went there today as well. Love their buffets. The food is delicious, and the service is top class.
I tried all their vegetarian options and sweets - all except a few were fantastic. The flavors are authentic Andhra style.
I'm not really an idli sambhar guy, much to my wife's chagrin, but I loved their fresh soft idlis, delicious sambhar, rasam, coconut and pudina chutney and raita. They have had these items every time I have visited and I am glad for it.
They change their sweets - almost always they are 3 in count. - I have a sweet tooth so I love that. Today their mango mousse and motichoor laddoos were amazing. They also had pongal which my wife liked. I have had their coffee mousse which was good, excellent rava laddoos & gulab jamun. They sometimes have tea in a flask.
Don't wait to ask for the breads - usually butter tandoori roti - which they make fresh on order so it takes some time. Besides that they have between 6-8 vegetarian options and around 5-6 non vegetarian options. They also have at least 1 fresh fruit.
Vegetarian curries have been great - mushroom chettinad was awesome, butter paneer, gonghura dal, palak paneer, etc. overall they make good vegetarian curries, their indo-chinese options are also delicious. Onion pakora- and gobi Manchurian was good too. Veg Hakka noodles - which I have seen on 2 Sunday buffets which doesn't make it a guaranteed Sunday item - is also excellent. They had fries last Saturday.
Overall, they are an excellent option in this region. They are not cheap at 20/person, but they are a good return for the expense. I hope they continue to serve at the same standards. The South NJ area also deserves high quality excellent food without breaking bank.
1 additional thing I have noted is that the staff is very dedicated and observant. They will take away dirty plates, get water or breads as requested and while they are not helping others, they are almost always cleaning/drying off the new utensils that will be used by customers. That attention to detail is rare. Many a times staff won't check the utensils going to the front and it just drops the customer confidence in the service first and then eventually in food.
Love this place, and will...
Read moreFood: I tried their gobi 65, mysore masala dosa, masala chai, and rasmalai. It all was served fairly quickly and in a proper, mindful order (app, main, chai, dessert). The gobi was crispy and well seasoned; I liked that they left the whole curry leaves. The dosa was a good size and had some heat, I'm so glad I found another restaurant that serves dosa, BUT I prefer it slightly crispier and the potato masala a little more seasoned; the chutneys and sambar were good, standard. The chai was yummy, also standard. Rasmalai was just alright, but it was a good portion. :)
Service: Friendly and attentive, though it's only one guy serving the front of the house. For transparency he asked me to make this review before I left, which I understand is important for a business. He was friendly though, and checked in at appropriate times.
Atmosphere: Casual walk-in plaza restaurant with a good amount of seating (at least 18 tables with 2/4 seats each). They have a restroom (I didn't go in). Pretty empty at lunchtime on a Tuesday.
I only tried a few things, but for what I had, I can recommend :) Always cool to try new places and support via reviews (though most of my reviews are on...
Read moreI recently visited Kurinji Indian Restaurant in Voorhees and had a fantastic experience! I tried their dosa, and it was absolutely amazing—crispy, light, and full of flavor. Their mutton biryani is a must-have—the mutton was very tender and fresh, and the flavors were spot on.
The food overall was incredibly fresh, and you can really taste the attention to detail in every dish. The waiter was very friendly, and the hospitality was excellent. Plus, the prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood. One of the best locations in TOWN
Welcome to the neighborhood, Kurinji! I’ll definitely be...
