My friend, Carter, took me to Waco Rage Room on 4/6/20, what would have been my son’s first birthday. He passed away May 7, 2020. Since his death, anger has overtaken me on some of my darkest days and I’ve told everyone that has asked how I’ve been holding up, “I just want to break some stuff.”
Dave greeted Carter and I upon entering and it was a pleasure talking to him. He was very kind, engaging, and informative—the guy I would want to be the first person my customers were greeted by, if I ever owned a business. He walked us through what the experience would be like and informed us that if we wanted to add more items after breaking the existing ones or if we needed the room swept/cleaned, that he would be there to help. We signed waivers, put on protective eye wear/clothing, picked out our bats and a sledgehammer, and were led to the room designated for us.
Upon walking into our room, I didn’t expect to have such an emotional experience, but it definitely was for me. There were all sorts of things in there: from beer bottles, to plates, a creepy little doll lol, baby toys, and a cookie jar. I bawled my eyes out as I chunked every bottle, broke every glass/plate in the room, and my friend gave me the honor of destroying the mirror with the sledgehammer.
It didn’t take a very long time for Carter and I to destroy everything in the room. I ended up breaking my bat, signing it, leaving drenched in sweat and oddly, extremely relieved.
This is a genius business concept and I know will help a lot of people that struggle with addiction, anger, grief, depression, anxiety, or just need a fun place to go and break other people’s things without getting the law involved. Best money spent in a while. Thank you Winston and Dave. I can’t wait...
Read moreI went to the rage rooms because I had a lot of stress and a lot of words I couldn’t say. The two people I took with me were also stressed and thought this might be a nice relief. I called to ask questions about the hit squad package (like 3 different times) and every time (no matter how dumb my question was) the man who answered was very polite and detailed. I got a windshield add on and printer add on and in the room already were beer bottles, plates, a picture frame, tea cups and glass mugs. While talking with a therapist about how you’re feeling and for different ways to cope might be nice this was by far the best therapy I’ve ever had. It was pretty inexpensive all things given and I can’t wait to go back. My only regret is I didn’t take any...
Read moreWalking in the place doesn’t look like much but it’s a blast. Make sure to cover up well because the broken glass goes everywhere!
If you need some extra covering they provide overalls. They also provide goggles and gloves, because safety first, as well as all the things to destroy.
Most importantly, they provide a weapon of your choice and a Bluetooth speaker so you can turn up your favorite playlist while you tear the place up.
They offer all kinds of package deals and upgrades if you decide to extend your time. You don’t have to wear a mask in your individual rooms, but it’s a good ideas to protect against the glass.
When your done, put the weapons and the gear away and they...
