I went here just to pick up a hamburger for my husband, it was late, and I was tired. The girl working the outside drive-through lane could not get her tablet to take my payment via the Whataburger app. She went and got her VERY RUDE manager to help. Manager noted the girl's tablet was not "on-line" so it would not accept the scan from my phone. She said to me (this is after 10 min of carside fiddling with the tablet) come inside and we'll figure it out. I said while y'all are playing around with that tablet my husband's hamburger is getting cold. I don't want to come inside, I want to go home. So Manager says, (again rudely) you just want this burger for nothing, right? That's what everybody wants! She sneered at me and punched something into the tablet, threw it back at the poor girl working outside and stomped back inside. I pulled out cash and the girl with the tablet refused the money, saying, No, it's OK. So, my question is...How do these places stay in business when the Managerial help sets such a poor example of leadership for the rest of the staff? If I wasn't so tired and by this point irritated by the discourse, I would have gone inside and thrown that burger at that witch of a Manager! She needs an attitude adjustment or a boot in her * By the time I got home the burger was cold and had to be heated in the microwave, which, of course, detracts from its taste. Lesson learned, go to...
Read moreI love Whataburger because when I have to work late or am caught up with activities and need to grab a late night meal they are always open. Moving their store closer to my house made me all the happier.
However since I have been going to this new store my experience has varied from somewhat manageable to down right awful. The drive through attendant rarely listens to what I order and I usually end up repeating: "I want a #1...yes a #1....#1...yes...".
Tonight's trip was more than usually awful, both with the usual complete failure by the attendant to pay any attention to my order, as well as getting the wrong order, and getting cold food. I don't like to complain usually because I've found taking food back can be a big risk to your health if you plan on eating whatever they make you the second time. So I buckled up and told myself if I was hungry enough I'd eat whatever so I did attempt to eat the burger.
I ordered a #1 with only ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes, and grilled onions and a Dr Pepper. I got a Diet Dr Pepper(at least its kinda like a regular Dr Pepper right?) I got a double with bacon, onions, jalapenos, pickles, mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. It was room temperature and I only got about halfway through the sandwich before getting a strong sensation of nausea.
Needless to say I doubt I'll ever eat...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this whataburger the other day, I’m hoping it isn’t the norm. I normally try to be super understanding when it comes to wait times but this was ridiculous. I pulled up in line to the second drive through, and I the lady said “please wait just a moment” so I watched 2 cars in the first like go through and I was fine with that, but then she a lady comes out as the lines were getting ridiculously long and goes “lane 2 is closed! Leave and go around to the first lane!” Well there are people behind me and in front of me so I try to go forward and wait for the guy in front of me to leave cuz I’ve decided to just not get food here tonight. But then the guy who was behind me pulls forward and the lady takes his order! At this point I’m slightly upset and I ask her as she passes why she didn’t take my order, she just tells me to pull around again even though I’m stuck behind a truck, after I tell her that I’m stuck she finally relents and takes my order. Well that was a mistake, my food took 45 minutes and I was still stuck in line as the truck in front of me had his food take 45 minutes as well! During that time 14 cars in the first lane came and went! And then when they brought the food out they brought the guy behind me food out before me or the truck in...
