More expensive activity, given this place is providing only the canvas and a bit of acrylic paint. I would say that they also provide the instruction to the painting and the painting itself, which might be true in a smaller or private group. But instruction constitutes the instructor painting based on a series of instructions without much explanation of technique or demonstration and you trying to frantically keep up--possibly while drinking. Things that have to be drawn are drawn for you using a stencil. In some cases, it's like coloring, but with paint. Instead of guiding you with instruction, most of the instructors will 'fix it' for you. Otherwise, this can be a fun time if you bring a group of friends and your own food and alcoholic drinks--which is encouraged. One of the nicer branches I've been to. Instructor was very accommodating. Seems to have more of an array of paintings available. Oh yeah, don't forget to make it look good because you paid a bit for the...

I always love coming to paint and create new memories and art with my friends/family. I planned a party and chose a painting I loved and was looking forward to having on display. The artist/instructor wasn't familiar with the painting and chose different methods that changed the entire image. The completed item on display looked very amateurish and nothing like the image selected. I asked multiple times about the paint options and the way it appeared but was assured it would look like the art item selected. It never did. I still enjoyed myself and had fun with the instructor and the people who attended. I'm just very disappointed in the outcome of the picture. If you aren't sure or don't feel comfortable painting the selected item at least let the person know so something else can be chosen. I'm sure I'll return but probably on a scheduled painting day where the instructor is confident and can make the painting actually look like it is...

It was our first time here, never painted before and I let Becky know this. For almost the whole time that we were she left us on our own because she was busy doing paperwork. She came a couple of times to our area but did not spend time letting us know techniques or how to do the painting. Her help was very rushed and definitely not for a beginner person. I guess I thought it was more like a teachable class and she would do a step by step throughout the process. I was honestly a little disappointed with the overall experience. The "making a candle" was very quick and for the price I would have just bought a candle somewhere else and saved the money, nothing special about it. Towards the end Becky tells me there's a stencil I could have used and a blow dryer to dry my canvas which she didn't mention until I was struggling so much I wanted to quit the whole thing. It was a very...

My wife asked me about going to Painting with a Twist, honestly I wasn't looking forward to going on Sunday because I'd miss NFL games. When we got there and I saw the sketch of my dog I was impressed but realized that all that details required shading. The instructor assured me that she would be there to give additional instructions. So popped the cap on my Guinness. My wife has done this a couple times so she was very happy about us spending time together and so was I. Aside from painting, we were able enjoy talking to each, laugh, crack jokes about my lack of painting skills and techniques. We had a blast and I'm looking forward to attending another class together. I highly recommend going to Waco, Painting with a Twist. Appreciate Y'all
