To their reply: see attached photos. I don’t know if you’re aware of our text conversation but I have attached them for the public to show how you all think I lied about which parts were serviced. I brought the new caps to replace the ones that were damaged. We were ALL aware of what happened. That is already clear in my review. The results do not change.
After 1 year of having the PPF applied to my vehicle and having done the annual warranty clean, I’ve come to the decision that it’s worth the investment if you upkeep the vehicle to a T. My car being the daily driver and time constraints not allowing me to wash the vehicle often has made it so that the edges of the PPF are difficult to restore without dirt lines.
My issues with the application process: this vehicle had PPF before and when they removed the old PPF, paint had come off of the front bumper, mirror covers, and front splitter. All pieces being plastic; two of them getting replaced in the future, I wasn’t going to fight tooth and nail for them to repaint a bumper and they informed me of the risks when removing the PPF. On the left fender there are stretch lines that I was told “would cure throughout the next couple of days.” They are present till today June (application was Jan-Feb 2024)
They make you aware of everything that could go wrong. And when it does go wrong, there was no incentive or remedy for it other than sending the car on its way. During the yearly check up there were areas of the ppf that were not treated; the least they could’ve done was cut away at the worst pieces I wouldn’t have minded as long as it didn’t remain dirty looking. We sent the car back, the spots stayed the same. Like said before, they mentioned the mirror covers would be difficult to apply the ppf. It’s bubbly as all heck.
I honestly wish I didn’t opt for the mirror covers (we had agreed to get them applied when I obtained replacement covers) mainly because I had clear coated them and they looked fine without bubbly plastic on them. I feel like if I were to return to any type of ppf shop it’d be to remove the current one and just seek other alternatives like a wrap. For the price point I’ve just been unhappy with it and can’t seem to catch a break with it. As someone in the collision industry, paint is not cheap and having a chipped bumper is killing me slowly.
Pros: Zero rock chips, optimal protection from stains and weather
Cons: little initiative from staff, bubbles and delaminates over time. Issues could’ve been preventable perhaps at a higher quality shop. Seams aren’t attractive, jagged edges on some portions of...
Read moreI was beyond excited to get my car (Acura RDX apec 2021) serviced with the ceramic coating and PPF. Cullen was very nice and took the time to explain just how the process works and what all to expect with the service. My appointment was on 2/12 and I was told it would be ready 2/14 some time in the afternoon. Unfortunately I received a call on 2/13 around 4:30 and I was told by Cullen that my car needed a more aggressive paint correction than what they originally thought and that the owner is recommending that I let them keep my car till Monday, that way they can give me the best results.
I ask to speak with the owner to get better understanding as to why the car wouldn’t be ready till Monday because I was told this service is a two day process. The owner named (Lisa) calls me and tells me that the reason the car wouldn’t be ready for pickup till Monday is because they are closed Saturdays and Sundays. She did apologize for the inconvenience and said that I can pick the car up on Saturday but the car wouldn’t be fully cured by then and it wouldn’t be the best idea. She said Sunday the car would be fully cured and safe for the roads BUT she has family coming in to town and wouldn’t be willing to meet me at the shop so I can pickup my car.
So I obviously chose to allow them to keep the car till Monday that way I don’t waste a $1700 investment … so today I went to pickup my car and I was very pleased at first glance but once I got close to the hood of my car I saw that the chipped paint that I had on the hood when I dropped it off was still there. I went back inside and told the owner (Lisa) that I’m disappointed that the neck on my hood wasn’t repaired. She chuckled and said this isn’t a body shop and they don’t keep paint here. I told her that I was told by Cullen and they will fix and Any necks and dings in the paint.
She said she apologize for the miscommunication between Collin and I, but when I come back in a year for my warranty service if I bring the paint she would be happy to fix it then.
This place needs to tighten up on communication and I also recommend they do a consultation on each vehicle before they begin any service. That way the buying can get ACCURATE time frames for services. It was a huge inconvenience not having my vehicle for 5 days when I was told they would only have my car for 2 days..
Now I have a glossy vehicle with a neck on the front hood...
Read moreWe recently purchased a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo L with very low mileage and wanted to have the exterior paint cleaned up. While talking with various car people I was directed to look into a Ceramic coating which lead me to Ceramic Pro in Wake Forest. After speaking with Cullen, a company representative we took our vehicle in to get looked over by one of the technicians. Upon review Cullen presented us with recommendations a couple of different options for service. We decided upon the 7 year ION Full paint correction coating as well as some window tinting. We set up an appointment for drop off and left our auto in their hands. The technicians did there thing and Cullen did a great job keeping us up to date on the status of our service. They took care of minor dents and scratches and our project was completed on time and we picked up our car when promised. I can not say enough great things about the product and the service we received. Lisa and Dave have a great team and our car looks better than new and our future maintenance will be easy to take care of. The entire staff at Ceramic Pro of Wake Forest is top notch and highly recommended. We will definitely be using them for any...
