Hark! Good gentles and fair maidens, attend thy ears to mine most hearty praise of the Aldi that doth reside in Wake Forest! Verily, upon mine entrance into this hallowed market, I was struck with wonder most profound. The shelves, lined with bounty rich, did call to me with siren’s song—fruits most fair, meats most succulent, and cheeses of a fragrance to make angels weep. And lo! The prices, set with mercy, did spare my purse the wounds oft inflicted by less noble merchants.
The keepers of this fine establishment, kind and swift as Hermes in flight, did guide me through mine quest with smiles true and service steadfast. No jest, dear reader—this Aldi be a jewel amongst stones, a beacon of thrift and quality intertwined.
Yet, what lesson from yonder Shrek, that most wise and verdant sage, might be gleaned within these walls? Prithee, let me enlighten thee! Thus, dear reader, let it be known: judge not by first glance, for true worth oft lieth beneath the surface. Whether it be a humble grocer or a misunderstood ogre, wisdom demandeth we seek beyond the rind to find the sweet fruit within.
Hie thee hence to this Aldi, and let both thy pantry and thy soul...
Read moreCurbside is the most unreliable thing ever. I placed an order and picked a 4-5pm slot, drove to the marked parking spot, and used the app to signal I arrived. The page said it would be a 5 minute ETA. No biggie at all.
15 minutes goes by and I get another message: There's nobody available to bring your order out, please come inside. I found that ridiculous because I paid a fee for the curbside. I go inside, wait in line at checkout which took 5 minutes, and the worker told me that someone will bring my order out.
I then go to the car and wait ANOTHER 10 minutes and at this point my appointed slot was well passed over. All in all I spent more time waiting for my groceries than if I just parked and shopped myself and perhaps that was the lesson all along, but don't 1.)Advertise curbside service as an available option everyday 2.) Charge an (albeit small) fee to use the service and then proceed to not even refund me because I still had to go...
Read moreI like Aldi! Bring your own bags or boxes, or you can pay for them there. You bag your own items after checkout. Take a quarter coin with you to the cart place, put it in the slot in the cart and it unlocks the cart. Return cart afterwards, click lock thing of another cart into your cart and your quarter is returned to you via the slot on the cart. Good prices; reasonably priced healthy selection of foods, including gluten-free. Best prices on staples!! Dairy, Lactose-free milk and nut milks cheaper here than anywhere else. You never know what new gourmet cheese might be in, as they rotate in different selections. Meat specials are hard to get your hands on! (They are often sold out by the time you get there- often the same day.) Produce is hit or miss, but low priced. Workers are efficient and get you out in good time. They could occasionally use more cashiers when lines get a...
