I just had the worst customer service experience here ever. We ordered a traditional box of 12 and the guy taking our order took down the 12. He miscounted 3 and only ended up charging us for 9. When we recieved our order, we asked about the three missing and he printed out the order showing only 9. When we asked about getting the other three, a younger guy came from the back where he was making empanadas. He spoke slowly and monotone, telling us we didnt order a traditional box, we ordered 9. I tried explaining to him that the guy taking our order didnt add in the three missing, and that we needed them re added back in. They charged us for another three which made the cost of the 12 empanadas $40 instead of the advertised $30. I inquired about this and the kid tried telling me that there was an upcharge for beef, and tried to explain to us that we didnt order a traditional box, and that we ordered only 9. When I tried explaining to him that the order was taken incorrectly, he got frustrated with me and told me to calm down. That got me pretty heated and I further asked why we were being charged $10 additional dollars more for a mistake that his staff did? He finally refunded us the $10 for the 3, threw the receipt at me, and asked if I was happy now. The raw disrespect of this kid was absolutely shocking to me and exacerbated, I left the restaurant. We've been going here for years and I will not be...
Read moreMy GF wanted sweets and went to the bakery next door, so I gazed up and saw the shining beacon of a sign that read, "The Empanada Factory."
I had only ever had empanadas from the freezer section, and I felt it was my duty as a fan of foreign cuisine to give this place my due diligence.
I entered around 10:30 a.m., and the place wasn’t super busy—just a nice young lady at the counter and a woman working diligently in the back, preparing for the onslaught of ravenous customers soon to approach.
I informed the lady behind the counter of my empanada ignorance, and she was very helpful in guiding me to empanada Shangri-la. I ordered a basic beef and cheese, a boricua, and "The Godfather" in a three-empanada combo. For the dipping sauce, I tried the creamy and delicious cilantro garlic ranch.
Each empanada was cooked to order—crispy and delicious. The insides were seasoned to perfection and a culinary delight! I don’t know what kind of fairy dust the woman in the kitchen put in these pockets of heaven, but they were fantastic.

Read moreUPDATE I would like to show my appreciation for Joe & Brittney, the owners, who went above and beyond to accommodate my family for their experience and provided us with excellent service and great food. Everyone has their off nights but a willingness to engage with customers and achieve a resolution is a top quality example of customer service. Thank you so much!
Worst experience in recent memory. Ordered 6 combos for the family, only 3 were delivered. Called in to report this discrepancy and the boy who answered the phone tried to argue that I only ordered 3. After proving I was right, and was forced to do carry out for the restaurant’s mistake, I asked if there was anything they could do to compensate me for the trouble (i.e., throw in a dessert or something, not asking for a refund). “No.” After driving myself to pickup the leftover combos, no apology was offered from staff and then they left the drinks off my combo, requiring a second trip. Food was average and the experience pulled it...
