I returned to the eighth kabob wonder of the world. This time we had the salmon and lamb chops entrees. The salmon was cooked to perfection as always. But, the lamb chops blew my mind away as soon as I took my first bite. The explosion of the flavor was like the fireworks of the Tang Dynasty. Thank God for utensils; otherwise I would have probably devoured my fingers. The squash, chickpeas, curry potatoes, spinach were delicious. But, let’s not forget the rice and bread - cooked to perfection. Their yogurt mint sauce compliments these tandoori items. The staff couldn’t be more courteous and kind to us and other patrons. Still a very, very impressive establishment. Another wonderful day! Thank you KabobBQ. You are amazing. What a talent!
Heavenly, Heaven! I just found the eighth kabob wonder of the world. It is only 1 hour away from DC by car. But it is well worth every minute and every bite. Kabob BBQ food can compete with any white table cloth restaurant in DC and WIN!! The menu is limited but unbelievable. The curry dishes are so flavorful that you forget you are eating basically in a carry out restaurant. The side dishes are unique. You need to try the tandoori salmon, grilled shrimp, the curry lamb, chicken masala with a side of spinach and cheese, the lentils, or the unforgettable potato curry. Another restaurant in Maryland that Governor Hogan needs to try and will not be disappointed. The courteous and polite staff treats everyone like a million dollars. So Kabob BBQ, I will be back before you know it. Thank...
Read more2025 update: I don't know what happened but this place completely went off the rails. I ordered the chicken and lamb combo with the chickpeas. Both of my proteins were completely overcooked. The lamb was almost a jerky consistency. The chicken had none of the flavoring that I remembered from last time. The chickpeas were also underwhelming. I would not order from here again.
Original review:
Yum. Swung by for the first time over the weekend. I ordered the combo with beef and chicken with chickpeas as my side. Two skewers, over rice with the side, small salad and bread. My thoughts:
*chicken skewer: 6 stars. OMG this was so good. The chicken was perfectly cooked, not dry at all, and I loved the seasoning. I could eat a pound of this.
*beef skewer: 3 stars. The flavoring was great, but my particular skewer was overcooked.
*rest of dish: 4 stars. There was ample rice, I think it was basmati variety and very nicely cooked. I LOVED my chickpeas - whatever sauce they were in had a nice zip to it. I didn't have belly room for the salad so I can't comment. The bread I think was wheat flour so a little tougher than I personally prefer.
The owner/chef was a delight. I wish him success and I will come back and eat all the chicken.

I have been to almost every high end restaurant in Canada and Usa ( Virginia and Maryland area) but Handsdown this is the best food I have ever eaten. I was so impressed by the simplicity, deliciousness , freshness and presentation of the food that I asked my server to talk with Chef.
After speaking with Chef Hashim I found out that Chef has worked in Rasika restaurant in DC as Chef. For those who doesn’t know Rasika is the most prestigious Indian Restaurant in DC and wait time to dine is 3-4 months.
I can go on and on for the quality of food and this restaurant. I highly recommend this to everyone who lives in the area.
FOOD QUALITY - 10/10 Price - 20/10 ( The restaurant can charge more and people will pay ) Cleanliness - 10/10 AMBIENCE - 5/10 ( This place is a small place with low budget seating areas. Don’t feel discouraged though - still a great place to go and dine with your families )
