I've always come to this store as it's local. Shop here at least once a week. Every thing is well and good until you're a victim of a crime in their store. They refuse to help and answer any questions. I had my wallet stolen from right in front of me on 2.16.25. A couple had walked up to me asking for assistance, while one engaged me in a quick conversation, the other took my wallet from my bag. They dropped a few bucks on the floor as a distraction to get away. They approach me while pretending to shop. By the time I got to the counter to check out, my wallet was gone. I told the ladies at the counter as to what had happened and if they can check their cameras, the manager refused and told me I had to involve the police, pull a report, have the police department contact them, and then have them contact the fraud department, the list goes on... they said they didn't have access to the cameras, only the corporate does, if they thought this bit of information was supposed to make their customers feel safe, it did completely the opposite... I needed a proper description of the couple to tell the police. By this time, they had already gotten away, and I started getting notifications about fraudulent transactions taking place at another store not too far from here. I immediately put a stop to my accounts. However, the damage was already done. Well over 1500 was pulled out of my accounts. I drove to the other store to stop the pending transactions. The thrives had purchased apple gift cards. The store, Dollar Tree on Grand, where the fraudulent purchase was made, was very helpful. I told them what had occurred and told them the transactions are still pending and they needed to cancel them, within 45 minutes, they filed a report, called corporate, told them what had happened, called the fraud department and canceled the pending transactions. I was able to obtain a copy of the receipts, went to the Walnut police station. They asked where the crime innately occurred, I told them at Homegoods and I was told that it's a regular occurrence at this particular location.
I am very disappointed at the management, from top to bottom for allowing such an inviting environment for crimes to occur on and inside their property where they've created a welcoming atmosphere for criminals and put up red tape for victims of crimes. I will strongly encourage customers to seek safer places to shop where your safety and well-being is respected and valued.
I'm not sure if it's corporate policy for Homegoods to further victimized someone who's a victim of a crime on their property, it is shocking to know that your stores or, your employees would go to such lengths to actually protect criminals by buying them time. Personally, I will no longer be shopping at any...
Read moreI come to shop at this location at least 1-2 times a month. It carries most of my household essentials, and I like the overall savings with a great quality product mix. HOWEVER, after coming to this location so often, I finally had enough of this particular cashier, she is described as follows: Hispanic woman in her mid 40's, with dark hair, 5'4"-5", and wears eyeglasses, and is ALWAYS working at this location during weekdays mid-afternoon. When it came to my turn to pay for my items, she never stopped GOSSIPPING WITH HER CO-WORKERS about their personal lives while thinking that by speaking in Spanish language, customers would not understand their conversation (think again!). I had to wait 10 minutes for her to run her stories because she could not process the items and wrap them effectively while chit-chatting their drama. Spending close to $300 means that I had my cart nearly full, as if she was blind enough not to recognize that she needed to stop gossiping; it was more important for her to engage her attention with the young man (she seemed too desperate) rather than focusing on her job, which is to attend customers. The only time she finally made an effort to interact with me was when she needed to ask if I was interested in applying for HG's credit card. Other than that, the entire transaction was filled with conversations about the staff members' love lives?!?!!! If you don't want to continue losing high-spending customers, please consider replacing lousy employees like her and put more productive and courteous cashiers. This one...
Read moreI really do love TJ Maxx, for the most part. The selection is great, prices are good, and the customer service needs attention.
First example: I found a pillow on clearance but no price. Couldn't find an associate and after I did, she looked around for the same pillow. Needless to say there wasn't one. Looked around a bit more and pulled a price from who knows where of $19.
Second example: I'm at the register with probably 10-12 items. The cashier gets to the last item setting there and says I don't think I rang this yet and rings it without thoroughly examining the receipt. I get to my car, while loading the bags, glance at my receipt. Sure enough, rang twice. I'm in a hurry but I have to go directly back in because then it is very difficult to prove. In addition, I mentioned I was looking for just a glass bowl cover and couldn't find one. He says, I just put one away yesterday. Doesn't offer to assist, doesn't call anyone, nada.
Does customer service even...
