I just wanted to give a heads up to parents whose kids may be members of PickUp USA Fitness Warminster: the digital locks on the lockers they provide aren’t properly functioning. Most of the lockers there have the digital locks taken off completely with nowhere to use a personal lock and the ones that are attached still are malfunctioning. My son had his new Yeezy slides taken out of locker number 17 while he played bball last night (Friday 5/17) with his friends. He thought by putting his items in a locked locker, his items were safe and he was free to play as any member should but unfortunately that’s not the case.

There was no attempt by the owner Jenn to rectify the matter other than to say 1-that my son is a teen and not 5 years old, therefore should know the lock wasn’t working (although it was working when he placed his items in there), 2-the lockers will be getting repaired soon, and 3- I should cancel his membership there. While I realize that businesses can’t be liable for all lost or stolen items, I believe there are certain circumstances like when you give members a false sense of security by providing lockers with digital locks to place their items in for the duration of their stay and those said locks malfunction. Customer service and empathy go a long way and the owner showed neither toward my son or the situation he was placed in.

I have no way of knowing if it was an employee or another patron who took his shoes but my son left the facility last night barefoot and the owner did nothing but victim blame. I would just hate to see any of this happen to another kid or adult, so just beware.

**To clarify: when he first arrived, the facility was not very busy, so he put his bag on the bench facing the court he was shooting on and the bag was in his vision the entire time. He went back to his bag, changed his shoes again to leave with his friend to get a sports drink and when he came back (and punched in again so you should have that on record) it was then busy and he signed up to play in the teen officiated games and couldn’t keep an eye on his personal items so that is when he went to the room with the lockers, changed into his basketball shoes and then placed the slides and bag in the locker. When he returned to the lockers from playing in the officiated games, that’s when he saw his items gone.

My son was upset (not scared) bc he was a victim of theft and was reluctant to tell me bc he knows I don’t love him going to your facility when it’s so crowded (as it often is at night). Your description of his feelings is very much lacking emotional insight, but your entire response to this situation has been lacking so it’s of no surprise. My son was a victim at your facility and this is your response. It’s appalling and you should be ashamed.

The fact that I have to specify at what point they were placed there is appalling as well because the point is they were stolen from the facility and your lack of regard. There is no reason to lie here and if the videos were reviewed in their entirety (from 4:30 to 9:30), you can see those exact accounts from that evening. Your accounts of what you saw on the video was a small portion of the time he spent at your facility and wasn’t the duration nor was it the time his items were stolen. It is not helpful for you to threaten my son by telling boys he knows to tell my son he’s in “big trouble” but it would be helpful to release the video footage in its entirety to the police so that we may find the perpetrator. Additionally, I’d like to also suggest not responding to reviews you don’t like by calling people liars and falsely accusing them of creating campaigns they took no part in…. Not only is it a false allegation (libel.. bc we too take our reputation seriously), it’s not a good look. ...

Overall this is a great place. If you are even fairly serious about basketball, this is probably your best bet in the area for regular court access and year round practice and training. The owner Wayne is a good dude who seems to want the best for the members and works hard to achieve this. The GM, Shane is outstanding. He always has a big smile and stops to say hello. Top notch guy. I can say, for me and my 10 year old daughter, we feel like part of a family here. People say hello and greet us by name. They offer a lot of opportunities for training and practice too. My main complaints are: - in no particular order. (1) Can get crowded and with just 6 half courts (3 full courts) often times it's hard to get any space to practice. They will rent out courts for league or other teams to practice and hence those court(s) are not then available for members at that time. Also when there is private training the half court will be taken up too. (2) There are times I feel a sense of chaos and confusion has taken over. It seems quite hectic and busy by the front desk. In fact, it seems very easy to access and use the facilities without signing in / being a member. I actually think this happens a lot. (3) I wanted to suspend my daughter's membership over the summer. Called in June and they said there is a 30 day notice required. and you needed to fill out and submit a form....I was out of town....should be able to just call and get it done. That seems like an unnecessary money grab..... (4) The app is absolutely horrible. It's one of the worst apps I've ever used in my life. It's difficult to sign up for different types of drills and trainings. (5) Communication is below expectations. I have called 2 or 3 times this summer about fall leagues and was told someone would call me back but they did not. None of these things are huge show stoppers. This is a great place and my daughter enjoys going. I would recommend Pickup...

DO NOT GOTO THIS GYM IF U WANNA PLAY BASKETBALL GOTO LA FITNESS!! LA FITNESS IS WAY CHEAPER AND U CAN BRING GUESTS THEY DONT ALLOW GUESTS N YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND U PAY ABOUT $60 a month for pick up but la is 29.99!!! Get it right!!! The basketball court itself is really nice but it is very unorganized games having to start all over because one of the workers there keep messing stuff up so the people waiting have to wait longer , we are suppose to be paying to play 5-5 officiated games for 10 mins sometimes they will start game at 8 mins , for adult runs the referees at the gym aren’t even older then you and mess up there calls constantly n make the game very annoying some days we don’t get to play because everyone leaves early because of the refs and the way the gym runs there business , I’ve found cockroaches candy food trash all around gym even tho front door says no food or snacks of any kind inside some days me and a few people that were members show up to play the days there suppose have adult runs will start from 1 - 2 hours late because they have something on the court but they don’t tell no members there started late or that the basketball runs will be on a different day. They also have different basketball rules then any other league you played for and it eventually makes u not wanna play I’ve witnessed people walk in and immediately walk out just because of the refs they seen working that day.
