We went to this diner over this past weekend with my friend and our experience was very unpleasant. The food and the service from the waitress (Hadley) was good, but the experience with the owner was dreadful.
We were sitting at the table and there was a glare from the blinds that was shining right in the eyes of my friend, so I pulled the string and switched the blinds from pointing up to down which fixed the glare.
About 10-15 minutes later, some guy walks over to the booth behind my friend, doesn't say a word to us and reaches over her head to change the blinds back. I had no idea who this person was cause he didn't say anything. I asked him what he was doing and he said he had OCD. Then I asked him if he worked here and it was at that point he said "Yea I own the place". I mean usually owners or managers would introduce themselves FIRST and said "hey folks, my apologies, I just want to change the blinds back". An owner would have said something before reaching over a customers head to do something. We hadn't had our food yet, but we had open drinks on the table.
Also instead of listening to WHY we wanted to change the blinds direction, he just made blanket statements about how "it's not normal to have blinds pointed in a different direction", which coming from an owner of a restaurant was a little strange to me. If a customer is uncomfortable due to having light shined in their eyes, wouldn't you try to assist to make it better? All it needed was blinds changed to pointing down instead of up. That's it.
So as the owner was walking away he turns around with a pretty hateful look, and asks me my name (which I didn't give him). I may have asked him who he was rudely in the beginning, but I mean it was a strange guy that didn't introduce himself reaching over my friend's head to change the blinds, which was very strange in itself. I mean who does that and doesn't introduce themself, especially an owner of a restaurant.
So anyway, after we ate and walked to the front to pay our check, I reached out my hand to apologize and he quickly says to us "there are 2 kinds of people in this world....one is those that own businesses and those that don't." He pointed at me and said "You are rude", and then he pointed at my friend and said "And you are rude". She didn't even do or say anything!! If anyone was rude to him, it was me, and I apologize.
He then proceeds to tell us "Leave my restaurant and never come back." We were floored. Regardless if I was rude asking him who he was cause he never introduced himself at first, is that really a reason to tell us to never come back to his restaurant? Seriously? And I'd really like to know what my friend did as she didn't even say anything.
I was actually going to apologize to this man if I was rude to him, but he never gave me the chance. He just told us to get out. This was an owner!! Over something so minor!! Don't worry, we won't be back. There are other diners in the area that are probably nicer and owners that would atleast introduce themselves before reaching over someones head and table like that.
Also, unfortunately, the server didn't get tipped and she was actually very pleasant and she was good. But we were told to leave, so our apologies to...

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Eagle Diner in Warminster has earned its place as one of my absolute favorite dining destinations, and after countless visits, I can confidently say it delivers an experience that keeps me coming back time and again.
The Standout Salad Bar
What truly sets Eagle Diner apart is their exceptional salad bar. This isn’t your typical lettuce-and-tomato affair – it’s a carefully curated spread that includes delightful surprises like cheese-filled bread that adds a wonderful savory element to any meal. The variety here goes well beyond expectations, offering fresh options that complement both lunch and dinner perfectly.
Comfort Food at Its Finest
The hot offerings at the salad bar are equally impressive. You’ll typically find three different soups rotating daily, each made with care and perfect for Pennsylvania’s changing seasons. The rice is consistently well-prepared, and the pudding selections – including their rich chocolate pudding – provide the perfect sweet ending to your salad bar experience. During summer months, fresh watermelon adds a refreshing seasonal touch that shows their attention to what’s best when it’s available.
The Chicken Croquettes: A Must-Try
While the salad bar alone would be reason enough to visit, the chicken croquettes here are absolutely phenomenal – genuinely the best I’ve ever had. These aren’t the dense, heavy versions you might find elsewhere. Eagle Diner’s croquettes are perfectly crispy on the outside with a tender, flavorful chicken filling that’s seasoned just right. They’re clearly made in-house with attention to traditional preparation methods.
Sweet Endings
The dessert and pastry selection is extensive and clearly made with pride. Whether you’re in the mood for something from their pastry case or prefer to stick with the puddings from the salad bar, you won’t leave disappointed. The variety ensures there’s something to satisfy every sweet tooth.
Final Thoughts
Eagle Diner represents everything great about classic American diner culture – generous portions, honest cooking, and genuine care for the dining experience. The combination of an outstanding salad bar, exceptional chicken croquettes, and extensive dessert options creates a well-rounded meal that offers both comfort and value.
This is the kind of local treasure that makes you feel fortunate to have discovered it. Whether you’re a Warminster local or just passing through, Eagle Diner deserves a spot on your...

Simple things like asking for separate checks or additional items for you to take home for hungry family who didn't join you are definitely taken care of without any issues. We ask for dipping sauce for our fries and they are helpful. You ask for no swiss cheese on your corned beef special, consider it done. They absolutely care imo
Now sure they may make a mistake but they immediately apologize and try to do something else if needed. The family ownership here is decent. They tend to run a tight shop but you need to with this many people trying to get a table
In general, just give this place a try. I equate this as the new Lancer's Diner. I saw that because of Lancer's new hours.
I see this as the new go-to place just to sit a chew the fat both literally and figuratively.
ORIGINAL REVIEW I've been going here often lately and I can positively say this is one of the better diners in the area that is open past 3pm
My group of friends usually get dinners that include the salad bar (and soup). I would like to see them add at least one new soup into the rotation on the day we usually go. I'd also like to see maybe a new salad side too. But I can understand why they budget only certain items
I just don't want to get bored of coming here. The menu is extremely large. Almost too much to choose from on certain days 😉
The wait staff here is wonderful, they are very friendly and approachable. We as a group enjoy seeing our regular waitress (and including the dish ninja, who removes the used plates) hehehe
The owners here are pretty friendly and professional. The fresh baked goodies are always used for some of my guests at my table (as a to-go item)
The pictures are from awhile ago (in the back of the restaurant), I didn't even know these types of birds were in this area. I...
