I went to Kohl's last night to use their Amazon return service. The woman who helped me was very nice and after the return was completed, she gave me a print out that was good for 25% off anything in the store. Her exact words. On my way out I saw a product that I wanted to pick up for my daughter's birthday. When I went to the register, I was told that I could NOT use the 25% off print out because it was considered to be skin care. The product I was purchasing was the Finishing Touch Flawless Legs. I was surprised because the product was around $64.00. I could understand the reasoning if I was purchasing a $10.00 fragrant soap or something. I was tired and was not going to argue with this cashier. I also belong to their rewards program and she never inquired if I belonged or would be interested in their program. Needless to say, I purchased the product for my daughter's birthday but I will never shop Kohls again. I feel as if I was dressed in anything other than jeans and a Tshirt, maybe she would have been nicer and not so rude since we tend to shop there a lot. That will change now that I see how different you are treated depending on how you are dressed. Kohl's can keep their 25 percent off and the Kohl's dollars because we will not patronize their store again. Yes, maybe I should have informed this cashier that I belonged to their rewards program but I think I was just so surprised at her attitude that it went completely out of my mind. I did try to read the 25 percent off print out but their printer must need ink because I couldn't read most of the paper. I will not shop somewhere that the cashier is rude and indifferent to me but fawned all over the people behind me that were dressed up. Didn't realize I had to get dolled up to shop at Kohl's. I realize Kohl's could probably care less but I was not a happy shopper and should have left the product but I didn't. Lesson learned and next time I will walk out of the store when the...
Read moreUnfortunately you have to give a least 1star to write a review or I would have gave a 0. I walked into the store the other morning and as I started looking at clothing, this saleswoman walks up to me with no hello or greeting and in an accusatory manner says to me "Are the doors unlocked!?!?" I looked at her a little bewildered and said "Yes, that's where I came in." She then proceeds to say "You have to leave, we aren't opened yet!" I felt like I had done something wrong and she said it was unlocked for employees only as if there was a sign on the door for that or I should have just known it! I spoke to a manager about it and explained that I have worked in customer service for 45 years and would never have had any employee I worked with approach and treat a customer like that. The manager couldn't care less about what I had said. I have been a Kohl's customer for many years but that was for sure my last visit and I have canceled my Kohl's...
Read moreThe problem I have with Kohl's is that the prices for their goods are and have always been too high. Many years ago, in a community where parents didn't have many stores to get clothing and footwear for the children, they were not budget friendly. The clothes for women were boxy and not flattering at all. The houseware section had nice items, but Mall prices. I never considered going there for special occasion items, especially not Christmas shopping. They did and continue to have nice jewelry. I am able to find as good or better items at other stores at better prices. Over the years, I wished they would change, but as long as people pay what they ask, they will not change. So on rare occasions we were able to find an item or two by accident. So I will not recommend Kohl's for any family budget shopping. They would be my LAST resort. In the times we're in now, it would be refreshing if they would become more...
