During a visit with family, my husband & I went to see Dune Part 2. I heard great reviews & wanted to see a later showing of it (in my experience, later showings can be really fun & not a lot of noise/people in the theater).
We had a wonderful experience getting our tickets, popcorn, & seats. The man at the concession stand answered all of our questions & was really kind. That is the only reason this review is a 2/5 instead of a 1/5, so maybe that guy should get a raise 🤪
I went to the bathroom right before we were seated since Dune is almost 3 hours long. As a girl, I don’t particularly love using public bathrooms, but whatever. I wasn’t impressed with the faucets (they were those push faucets that your finger needs to be on in order for water to come out) so that was a bummer.
Once in the theater, I noticed that there were a LOT of ads…trailers didn’t even start until 10 minutes after showtime. And even though I loooove me some trailers, we saw about 6, putting our showtime back 30 minutes. I’m only bringing this up because during the end credits, the screen was turned off & we heard voices up in the film booth talking about closing down the place for the night. I was pretty bothered because I wasn’t sure if there would be post-credit scenes, & we also weren’t even the latest Dune showtime of the evening. I understand that everyone has their long days at work, but shutting off a movie that I paid for before it’s even over is just plain rude.
Not sure if my experience is an exception to a normally great one, but as a movie-lover…what a disappointment. Especially since I’m visiting...
Read moreDisappointing and just not worth it to go to the movies anymore. Especially this location. Me and my husband got the most disgusting seats. Literally falling apart that I was even getting the black leather bits on my clothes and everything. And it was very humid in the theater and the stench was enough to make me cover my nose. Again we paid 35 dollars to see a movie to feel like we were sitting in a dump. Then this theater does not follow the "no talking or cell phone" rule during showtime. My husband had to tell a gentleman beside us to quiet down because we could not hear and we got screamed at. Walked out of the movie early because we were uncomfortable. On the way back home, we decided to call the manager and at least beg half a refund. Nope. Apparently you have to do a refund in person? But there was not even a hint of sympathy on the phone for us and it sounded like it was our faults that we didn't get our money back. Contacted regal cinemas customer service myself and pretty much gave me a "well thats too bad" convo. Really disappointed with this theater and company in general. I know they can't do anything about the public but we pay our tickets like everyone else. Never will go again aside from that because I feel like sitting in unclean and rotten seats is not worth 35...
Read moreVery clean...the seating is awesome! There was not one person there without being reclined and having their feet up. The new menu seems pretty awesome although there's nothing really on it that's "normal" that I could eat. The popcorn tastes better than regal and doesn't make us sick if eating too much (lol). I hate the prices but deal with it for the experience. One thing I was disappointed in was I used my movie pack tickets that are called "premier tickets" and the woman at the front desk said there was an upcharge fee because they were a "premier theatre". Upon comparing prices they're the same price as not "premier theatre" so I can't understand why I'm being charged when they're the same price. And is also disappointing because they're suppose to be discounted. I think they should honor the tickets either way without an upcharge. (Understandable for 3D or premier night but this was a standard format movie that was already out).
All in all best theatre experience wise I've been, but add more "normal" things to the menu and honor discounted tickets and I'll give this 5 stars and tell all my friends and family. If not, just slightly disappointed and debating on if it's worth the 40 minute drive when i can't use my tickets. I might just...
