Pros: The store has a pretty good selection of items for a convenience store, the customer before me who had a dog got a treat, and the owner seemed very nice!

Cons: The owner straight up was not happy about taking EBT and was extremely judgmental about it, which led to a not great shopping experience. Also the items are fairly overpriced, but that is to be expected of a mom and pop convenience store in DC. If I didn't see the person before me and also if this was a chain store, it would get a solid 1 star. However, since the owner seemed nice (to middle class people with dogs) and their lives might depend on the ratings of the store, 3 stars. 7/11 would've been a better shopping...

7 River Mart is a gem in the neighborhood. It is always well stocked with a wide array of groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, beer and wine, and basic provisions. You would be surprised how much can be packed in the tiny little store. Their prices are reasonable ane you cannot beat the convenience. No long lines ever. The proprietors are kind and easy going and always have a smile on their faces. I highly recommend that you do at least some of your shopping at 7 River Mart and support this wonderful...
